Doesn't like wishy-washy...
Obviously no one called CC before making the trade, not that it would have constituted solid due diligence… As with everything else, Chilly just thinks he knows best so he gets no input and makes no explanations. How long does this have to last?
Thanks for posting this....
Thanks, Captain, for putting this up. It brought back those good ol’ memories!
Anyone who remembers watching CC mentor Randy those first few years and being amazed at what they were able to do on the field together should listen to this interview. It will make you remember why you loved CC so much.
The first couple years were great...
but after that you could see the relationship was cooling off. Sideline fights became common. Randy didn’t want to be told anything by anyone back then, he thought he was all that! And Cris saw his influence on Moss had evaporated, and his chance for a SB ring in his career all but gone. It was sad to see. Nobody misses “It’s Cris Carter on the slant” more than me.
And when Cris said “he has never shown me disrespect” I thought of all the times that Randy dissed him and this statement after Carter’s retirement http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/si_online/news/2002/09/25/flashback_moss/ Other than acknowledging Carter’s willingness to portray himself as a mentor — “If he wants to claim the fame,” Moss says, “I’ll let him claim it” — Moss makes a point of not discussing his former teammate by name. Yet it’s not hard to extrapolate when Moss says, “We’ve had a lot of b.s. the last two seasons that messed this team up and kept us from competing for a championship, and we got rid of some of that b.s. over the off-season. I never experienced anything like last year, and I can’t imagine anything worse.”
