I think so.  Say what you will about Childress (and I've said plenty), I think he and his staff deserve credit for sitting Allen and Edwards in the 4th quarter.  The TV showed Allen looking somewhat shocked.  Soon after, he was shown standing next to Edwards.  Neither looked happy.  When they were later back on the field, at the end of the 4th and in OT, they were unstoppable.  I don't know if they went back in feeling rested or just motivated.  The Vikings ended the game with 6 sacks and equalled their season total. 

For a team that is incredibly deep on the defensive line, it has struck me as odd that Allen and Edwards haven't been rested more - particularly given their inability to get to the quarterback this season.  Maybe now things will change.
