Al Harris to hit Waivers

From PFT:

Report: Packers will cut Al Harris Posted by Mike Florio on November 8, 2010 7:32 AM ET

After a player on the Physically Unable to Perform list returns to practice following Week Six, the player's team team has three weeks either to add him to the active roster or to place him on season-ending injured reserve.

There's also a third option.  The team can cut him.

Jason Wilde of ESPNMilwaukee reports that the Packers will be releasing Harris today.

Well, he's been hampered by injury this year, but he was one of the best aggressive corners in the NFL in the past few years.  Is it worth it to pick him up?  Even if we can only use him sparingly this year, I believe his contract is good through 2012 (although that might not matter at all with the lockout threatening).  However, considering the quality of players Green Bay has given to us in the past (Sharper, Favre, Longwell), I think it would be smart of the front office to look at this one.

What do you guys think?
