Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport Closed; Giants Charter Diverted To Kansas City

If you were wondering how. . .or if. . .today's snowstorm of the year/decade/century/whatever time frame would potentially affect tomorrow's football game between the New York Giants and the Minnesota Vikings, Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune has your answer through the miracle of Twitter.

The Giants have been diverted to Kansas City and will be there until Minneapolis airport opens. I didn't know it had closed.less than a minute ago via txtJuddZulgad

Well, then. Here's hoping that Big Blue can make it to Minneapolis in a reasonable amount of time.

According to the Star-Tribune's web site, all four of MSP's runways were closed at about 11:30 AM and are expected to remain that way through mid-afternoon at the earliest.

It is December, remember what happened to the roof in late December of 1982? Still have memories of that and the off colored patched section to this day.

Who knows? Maybe the game will be postponed and we’ll get to play the Giants in the last game of the season, again.

Anybody know what airline they are flying?

I might head out to the airport and see if I get in their heads about the game tomorrow.

That their charter is through Continental.

Delta has apparently canceled all their departures and arrivals for the rest of the day today. . .so, if they’re flying Delta, they’re hosed.

and do what KQRS would do to Al Micheals in the late 80’s, do a “wake up” call at about 4AM. hehehehehe That’s what he get’s for his constant announcing of how no baseball team with a record like the Twins or a team that finished last the year before could ever win the World Series like he kept doing back in 1987. I still hate that S.O.B. to this day!
