Just listened to ESPN chat with a reporter from Minneapolis Public Radio. He said that 16 inches of snow that had fallen and that the Metrodome roof had collapsed. He also said that two of the roof panels had been damaged. While the roof can generally be re-inflated, I don't know what the damage to the roof panels will mean. It's certainly a possibility that the game will have to be played somewhere other than the Metrodome.
And this just in, FOXSPORTS is reporting that last night Zygi Wilf gave orders to his maintenance staff to plant small explosive charges on the roof. They went off around 5 a.m. and damaged two roof panels. Apparently, Zygi wants a new stadium really, really badly. [OKAY. I MADE UP THE FOXSPORTS THING. BUT WHO KNOWS. THE GUY COMES ACROSS AS PRETTY DESPERATE FOR A NEW STADIUM].
