A month and a half ago, a dumbass here had the audacity to say that Joe Webb. Joe. Webb. was not an NFL ready quarterback, that he didnt compare to Michael Vick in any way and that he wouldnt see the field for the Vikings anytime soon. Well That man was dead wrong
The fact of the matter is, is that tonight I saw something I haven't seen since the glory days of Daunte "Getcha Roll On" Culpepper. A young quarterback who actually looks like he got be more than serviceable in the NFL. I saw Joe Webb making NFL throws, juking veterans out of there shoes, not being afraid to stiff arm a defensive lineman right in the mouth, and just looking very calm and very composed the whole game.
Now I'm not going to anoint Joe Webb as the QBOTF just yet, but he's as close as anyones been in the last 7 years and a decent performance next week against the Lions next week will make me forget all about Cam Newton (My first round hopeful that we get).
I was wrong about Joe Webb, I will admit that. I will also apologize to anyone that I blasted with comments concerning Mr. Spiderman. Joe Webb made my dinner for the next 10 years tonight and that will be crow.
