Auld Lang Syne Vikings Fans!

Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind ?
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and old lang syne ?

CHORUS:
For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we’ll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.
And surely you’ll buy your pint cup !
and surely I’ll buy mine !
And we’ll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

CHORUS
We two have run about the slopes,
and picked the daisies fine ;
But we’ve wandered many a weary foot,
since auld lang syne.

CHORUS
We two have paddled in the stream,
from morning sun till dine† ;
But seas between us broad have roared
since auld lang syne.

CHORUS
And there’s a hand my trusty friend !
And give us a hand o’ thine !
And we’ll take a right good-will draught,
for auld lang syne.

The lyrics of New Year's Eve standard "Auld Lang Syne" come from a poem written in 1788 by Robert Burns. Written in Scottish dialect, the title words mean, literally, "old long since" or, colloquially, "the good old days

Ah the "Good old days". What a fine time. I sport three Punt, Pass, and Kick trophies which I have always very proud of.  Two bronze trophies, and one silver (although the first one looks like a gold since I polished it so much). Being a very skinny kid, the way I got better at football was this - I lived next to a huge field. I would practice punting by simply punting to one end. Then I would set up my tee, consisting of a block of wood and two pencils, and kick back the other way. I couldn't punt, pass OR kick particularly better than anyone, but accuracy counts and if you aimed right down the middle, the results were good.

This season has been a tough one for us all. Where do I start - Chilly - he brought in some good players but he apparently lost the respect of the team - so he's out, and for the moment, Frazier's in.  The Favre/Sterger crap, the collapse of the Metrodome - well you guy's know what's happened. But there is reason to be optimistic this coming year.

Joe Webb. I know we haven't seen much of this guy (I think his first name is actually Tawhidul) but he looks confident, and I hope he he can be the next 199th freak pick.

Our defense - I don't know where that all came from against Philly but they played with some fire - a couple of them need to learn how to catch the damn football. That's a fundamental that, well shoot- I used to play medical war in HS and I would just stand directly in front of the opponent begging them to throw it. You HAVE to catch with your hands.

I'll just let it go there but the Norseman has some of the finest people I have ever met ( I talked to Citrus on the phone and now feel like a stud - what a nice Intelligent well read person) - , some bright football minds, some new people that recently have left very good comments, and us old warhorses (I apparently have been here for a little over a year lol  but it seems like a lot longer) -  but I guess my final question would be - What is your beverage of choice tonight - for me,  Michelob Ultra - pretty darn smooth in my opinion.  I appreciate all of you Viking fans and Auld Lang Syne my friends!
