Throwback jersey's/ Update 5 overstock items on sale

Wanted to add  I have 5 overstock jersey's for 35.00 including shipping fees. 2 purple Favres size 52 XL one has Capt patch, the other does not. I have 2 Chris johnsons navy blue size 52 and a Red Fizgerald with 2009 super bowl logo. All are great and would make perfect gifts. Great low price but have to move to add other orders. Drop a line.

I have the chance to get the throwback style the Vikes wore last year for a game. I can get Harvin,

Favre Allen, Peterson in this style at 45.00 each. That includes shipping fee. I have one order but need to make 5 to get that price. If interested contact me at the usual place vgerkovich@yahoo

I can add any other regular style jersey to that order also to make the minimum of 5.

Interest in the trowbacks has not been high but feel free to write about other jersey's

You’re in Brazil? Cool. If I might ask, how is the economy down there? It’s not very good here in the US.

by medicineball on Mar 13, 2010 11:42 AM CST up reply actions

I’m brazilian actually, so I’ve been here me whole life. lol

Well, the economy didn’t take much of a hit from all the events that have been happening, but it was never very good to begin with, so what you consider to be not very good there would actually be good over here.

A Brazilian Vikings fan? That is awesome.

You guys have a country that is going to be one of the richest in the world sometime.

Yeah, people here in Brazil only care about futebol (what you call Soccer), so I understand the surprise it is to see a brazilian Vikings fan. LOL.
But I’m not alone, I’ve found about 4 or 5 other brazilians Vikings around the internet.

I can see that happening, but in a long long long time from now.
While we have been blessed with no hurricanes, no volcanoes, no earthquakes or anything like it, we have been cursed with something that limits our growth more than any of those: Bad, Corrupt politicians.

We have potential to be a super potence, much like USA, but the way the politics here are made, we will continue to be a third world country for a long, long time.

That’s because most people here don’t like or don’t even know football.

I can say for sure that not even 0.5% of the population here likes football.
And about 70% of those who actually like, only like because of the ‘violence’, the big hits, they don’t have any idea of the rules, tactics, strategies or even teams, they just like to see huge guys hitting huge guys.

Join that with the fact that the Vikings are not so popular and we have very few Vikings around here.

I would have to check on shipping fees

If you can pick up the portion of that over my normal fees I will. Write me and we’ll see if we can work it out. Be sad to be in Brazil and not be able to show JA off. Drop me a line will do what I can

My parents recently moved and when I was helping them pack, I found an old fran tarkenton vikings jersey. It didn’t have his name on it, just the number 10 on both sides and the word VIKINGS on the front above the number 10. I snagged it up and will now wear it every sunday!

I think I had one like that when I was in HS

I have some jerseys from 10 years back and the screens at least were better than what you get now in stores. I have a nice Moss and Carter. Also a cool jersey style shirt with a number 5 "Cunningham: Big Vikings emblem on front. Really sweet. Now they sell this crap that peels off and T-shirts for 25.00 Rediculous!
Gues thats why people like the jerseys I can get them. Even a slight color flaw for 35.00 is better than that stuff. My average is 40.00 which is 5 bucks more than the cheap screens.
YW11-you get in touch. I am a 20 year varsity soccer coach who was one of the few coaches who got along with the football coaches here. I helped the JV with the O-line. Being we have soccer in the winter I never made it a hastle on my players to finish with football where the other schools and former coaches always fueded over that. I just asked if a guy was riding the pines as a JV holdover they allowed him to come over for soccer to go over formations and direct , indiredt and corner kick sets. Or if he was a major player for me they let him go. Then I did the same for baseball and he for me.We always worked it out. But, it gets so brutally competitive between coaches down here. We would go to district meetings and hear all the crap and I think we were the only group of coaches that respected each other enough to work it out together. Also can get soccer jerseys from different countries except I don’t know most their league teams in various countries or know how to market it. Never tried
Don’t know if you read my post. A guy I watch Vikings games here went to mankato State U. He was born in Brazil and moved here during grade school. We watch together every Sunday. I found he was the head HS xoccer coach here and am now helping him out with supervision of his camps. I do pretty well working out of a scooter and can do a little walking about. Just a blessing to meet a guy who I could cheer the Vikes on with and he lets me get out of the house and uses my knowledge when needed. After 2 years we had just found we were both soccer coaches. We were so indulged in the Vikings
Had to share that again in case you missed it. You should find a soccer team and outfit them in Vikkings jerseys. Would that be a hoot and a little hot :) Actually some of the jerseys now are pretty light. Be funny to have you sponsor a team and I would get you a bunch of Vikings jerseys for a soccer team. Then send the picture to DN.
Sorry for the long story. R4F is right. I wouldn’t mind hitting some of those beaches from the pictures I have seen.
Don’t worry. We’ll get you a JA

7 Cunningham

Crap. Thought I could get my crippled up body and mind to focus long enough to stay under 3 typos. Glad the guys here understand. I spoke with RebelGrey on the phone and we got a giggle when I told him I was a staraight A term paper writer in college and master level work-Day and age without spell check.
Now I look back at posts and think WTH was I doing?
Have a great weekend guys.
Updates on LT. A couple souces said he signed with Jets until a guy came out and said he had headed back to Calif with no contract signed, That would be a good sign for the Vikings according to that source.

by CitrusFLViking on Mar 13, 2010 2:58 PM CST reply actions

You should know :-)

But you are still a pup. What? A year younger.
For you guys who don’t know Rebel. He knows as much (no way more) as me about Vikings history. Great guy and a fine example of a frienship build on a blog. Forgot. Arrowman is another oldie but goodie. Ask these guys some stuff. They know your pain.
We need to have an ask the old guys post someday.
It registered with me that these kids who are not old enough to remember us even being in a Super Bowl are suffering as much, if not more than I did as a kid. I was bewildered as to why none of my Minnesota teams never won a dang title. 65 Twins, North Stars Cup final, and 4 Super Bowls.
Now I am really mad. We don’t just need it for us aging old farts. I am now identifying with a younger generations frustrations.
Dang! That rhymed.
