Colts
Got the biggest steal of the draft, by far.

Earl Thomas
At 5’10 he has blazing speed. He is very good in zone coverage (like the Cover-2 that the Vikings play). He is still working on his man coverage. He played strong safety in college, but in the NFL he could be moved to cornerback. Just three years out of high school, he turns 21 in May.
He is a defensive playmaker. He could come in and probably win a starting job at cornerback or free safety. Eventually, he could become a shutdown cornerback.
Not to take anything away from Kyle Wilson. He looks like he will be very good, and could also become a shutdown cornerback. But his weakness right now is zone coverage . Wilson is older, more mature, and less raw than Thomas, except Thomas has the edge in zone coverage, which the Vikings play.
There isn’t a huge difference that separates these two, but for my money, I would go with Thomas.
I'd believe that if I had taken Price too
Luck is probability taken personally, clutch is probability attributed to individuals.
though I think McClain at 15 is huge value.

And Tebow with the 4th

I could see it happening though
Dan Snyder seems more incline to go for a name that is big or towards the end of a big career, not a player who can play big.
"If you're gonna shoot, shoot, don't talk."
"You men are only risking your lives, while I am risking an almost-certain Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor!"
"We have clearance Clarence. Roger Rodger, what's our vector Victor?"
I can't see the Skins taking Tebow
Especially since I expect Bradford to be available. The Rams simply cannot pass up on Suh. I can see Tebow going top 10 though. If he falls to the Jags, the owner has already said he’d love to draft the kid. And while they need DEs, if they sign Kampman, who is in Jaxonville right now, then I think it’s much more likely for Tebow to stay in Florida
I honestly..
Don’t think Weatherspoon (My pick) will be available at #26…
I assume another team will pick him up (probably the Pittsburgh Steelers)
Question is.. Since he went so late in this mock-draft, do the Vikings take him if he’s available at #30?
Wow, looks like you guys had fun
I think CB is a good pick for the Vikes at 30. VERY surprised Tebow went 4th, but after I saw that and thought about it for awhile, I bet something like that happens in the actual draft.
Glad it went so well, at least judging by the comments. Stopped in for a minute, but then had to head back out.

Do you still want the people who picked in the draft to email you their reasoning?

Yeah, I'd like to
Some guys offered an explanantion on their draft pick in the thread, some didn’t. It’s be nice to compile them into one fanpost as opposed to going through a 700+ post thread.
I’ll give it a couple days and then post what I have in a consolidated fan post.

I gave the explanation along with the pick, do you need me to send it to your e-mail too ?

My apologies.
I had someone stop by and thought I had more time. The last few picks before mine went quick but I should have known that could happen.
Anyway banning myself for a week, wearin’ the dunce cap… Cody was a good pick.
STRIKE 1.
I still think drafting a CB in the first round is a mistake, but I get that there were no real QB prospects at that point of the draft.

Are the raiders really going to draft the guy everyone expects them to? Where’s the shock value in that?
Are the browns going to roll the dice on another notre dame QB?
are the skins really going to draft a QB that high, considering that they tendered Campbell so high?
"We have a right to be proud, for in our veins flows the blood of many brave races who fought as the lion fights for lordship. Here, in the whirlpool of European races, the Ugric tribe bore down from Iceland the fighting spirit which Thor and Odin gave them, which their Berserkers displayed to such fell intent on the seaboards of Europe, ay, and of Asia and Africa too, till the peoples thought that the werewolves themselves had come."
-from Bram Stoker's Dracula
Yes because they need a QB of the future and Campbell isn't it.
As for the Chiefs they need everything who knows what they will do.
It's a lot easier to love the Vikings when they win...
Maurkice Pouncey
I’ve been trying to determine whether the Florida Gators have used zone-blocking system. They have a spread offense, and they use the zone-blocking system. I finally got some confirmation of that.
This makes the Gators prospect Maurkice Pouncey, C/G, look a lot better to the Vikings.
On the other hand, Florida has a history of not producing great NFL offensive linemen . Very few Gators turned out to be great NFL linemen. Maybe Maurkice Pouncey will be the exception.
