Brandon Marshall to Miami
According to ESPN, Marshall is getting shipped to Miami today. Just popped up as I was checking things this morning after getting up. Personally, Thank God. I know some were thinking would be great to have him. Well, yeah, talently speaking, would have been. But with his issues, no way. We dealt enough with the Mossitude, don't need a Brandontude. So here is a link to the story and we still have one of the best WR's cores in the NFL with Rice and Harvin.

Bryant
Well, I guess this opens up the door for Dez Bryant to slip all the way to 30. Ok, not really but one can dream.
I'd Rather have
Demarius Thomas (sp?) He’s huge and hard to get to the ground, FAST. Only knock on him is he hasn’t ran all the routes yet, but that can be learned.

It also shows how much teams value their 1st round pick this year
No one was willing to give it up for Marshall. So I am holding firm that no one will give it up for Ray Ray and he will remain a Viking!

Gotta respect t hat
I like the fact that you take a position and stick with it
But he is going to be shipped.
How can they pay Jimmy Kennedy 6 mil over two years which is probably 3 mil per year and only pay Ray 2.5 mil this year?
At the very least the Vikings should give Ray a one year deal of about 5 or 6 mil while they try and work out a new deal. Even if he wants crazy money and that is why there are no negotiations, it would show good will towards Ray.
But I think that in the end, the Vikings just cannot tie up to much salary on the defensive line.
If he does not get traded then he is sure to be speaking his mind.
I just hope in that scenario they get more for him than Den got for Marshall

So far San Diego, Denver, and the Vikings have not gotten signed tenders from their DE's.
This is a good thing that no one made Ray an offer. Tomorrow he will be an exclusive agent of the Vikes. They can then solve their long term employee issues. One step at a time.

Makes you think...
What will his performance be like?? Will he slack…….. Since he believe he deserves better?? Or we play to his fullest to try and show his worth….?
I hope he plays to his fullest so if possible, he’ll be able to get a better contract or other offers..

i was never a fan of marshall – and as for ray ray i like the guy but ive also never been a fan of showing your ass especially after 4 sacks. Im a life long viking and i take pride in my team. I take pride in the john randals, the jared allens, the cris carters, adrian petersons and all of the other class acts, and while his talent is not in question his attitude is now. I understand people want to get paid but do it behind closed doors. i.e. the Mauer deal. I want players on my team who want to wear purple and gold and want to win a championship without all the other headaches so as far as im concerned good riddance and good luck. I’ll take robinson who seems like he wants to play or Austen Lane in the 5th or 6th we need to take a look at this kid he’s a beast 6’6 from a small school i think he’s gonna be a big time sleeper.
Not sure that's fair.
Ray has never, to my knowledge, said anything negative toward the Vikings organization. He did speak out about the labor contract and how unfair it was for the owners to change the rules in the middle of the game. I can not blame him for that. He never said anything about his tender or that the Vikes were not being upfront, honest, or fair with him in this process.
He’s a young worker in the middle of his first union work issue. I expect some of them to speak out and others to keep quiet. It happens everywhere.
If I am wrong and Ray has been negative toward the Vikings I encourage someone to post it for us.
I could actually change my mind.

I am most definitely not a fan of having players on the team with bad attitudes. They tend to bring others down….. In my opinion, just shut up and play hard…. Go for the win.. Play hard, or let the next guy in line come in and play hard…
You slack, your value goes down anyways… You win, your worth more.. Period..
Suprisingly, you think more teams would be after potential Vikings players considering where we got to… NFC Championship game (Also back to back North division titles..)…..
Also....
Speaking of attitude….. One of the reasons I turned to not be so fond of Berrian. He totally did not seem to have any support of Favre when being questioned about it after the season. He didn’t seem to so any class and basically made it sound that Favre was all about bringing drama in the off-season.
I just sense bad chemistry between Favre & Berrian for some reason.. I recall in the beginning of the year, Berrian had a few dropped passes and it didn’t seem Favre liked throwing to him since.
But, that’s just my opinion, I am sure someone else can show me stats to prove me wrong. But I am going off or what I recall game after game.
hmmmmm....
This is the first I’ve heard of any issues between Favre and Berrian. I thought it was more due to Berrian being injured off an on. If you have any more info on that I’d be curious to check it out….
There is nothing official..
I’m basing an opinion off of how Berrian gave a post-season opinion on the return of Favre. He sounded very disgusted with him and his flip-flopping decision making and it seemed as if he wished for him not to return. I think the quote went as follows…
“Who knows with him…. He’ll probably change his mind over 100 times this off-season”…. If you ask me, that doesn’t sound very class-act like… Everyone else showed more class, saying things similar to “I am not sure, I hope he comes back, and if I had to guess, I would say he’s coming back.”
After some thought, I realized between Berrian’s early dropped passes and hammy issues, Favre didn’t favor him as a target… I think this is what maybe gave Berrian a little bit of a disgust over Favre.
But.. Once again, only going off of personal opinion. If some people saw the clip, they’d maybe be able to see what I am talking about.
And this is why I wanted to get Marshall
and they could have done it for less than two seconds if Denver was willing to take Berrian.
Of course the huge contract that Marshall just signed was probably the biggest impediment since we have to give Rice money this year too.
It might just be a matter of perception
Because I saw the interview that you were talking about and I didn’t fully get that impression, I thought Berrian was just trying to be funny.
You have to assume that he’s not “thrilled” about his numbers this year. But from what I’ve seen, it seems like he has presented himself with a positive attitude, and as a team player.
Hmmm
I saw an interview early on in the season of Berrian and he really did seem like a stand-up guy. A real straight-shooter haha!
But, I don’t know if he was just really bitter at that time he was asked…. Or if he was annoyed by even being asked since he assumed he was going to be asked all off-season….
But, it really seemed like, he just wasn’t really a big fan of Favre.
The sense that I got was either he was bitter, annoyed, or just sort of has a some-what hatred of Favre. I just didn’t think that comment was really necessary… As a fan hoping for Favre to return… I’ve lost interest in him since.
There are other factors on why I’m not a real big fan of Bernard as well. HIs salary, his hammy injury issues, etc.
Favre sure favored him as a target in the NFCCG

Didn't seem so much in regular season
He did make some clutch catches in that game though. But, I think coming off a bye, him being a little more healthy and having experience with connecting with Favre on routes helped.
But when you think of numerous big-plays, do you think of Berrian?
I saw numerous great runs out of Taylor.
AP – had some great games (Cleveland especially).
Rice – couldn’t be covered in Detroit, made amazing plays in Dallas, and I believe had the most receptions/TDs
Harvin – Kick-returns, amazing catches, etc. etc.
Shiancoe had many receptions…. Seemed like Favre was always throwing ot him…
Why you should love Berriman
1. His contract the next two years is extremely inexpensive.
2. He is healthy. Ham strings injuries are not chronic
3. He is fast. He opens up space for Rice to work.
4. He can catch. Not every receiver can hang onto a Brett Farve pass
5. He is a great teammate. No locker room issues with the receiving corps.
6. He is a member of the Viking team. Never judge someone by a reaction to a media interview. Judge them based on their actions.

My roommate, a Broncos fan, is so mad about this.
I’m personally happy about this. Not in our conference, and I’m glad we didn’t get him.
In AP I trust

It is good we don’t show our hand w/ Ray until after he get past the tender time and the draft . A few extentions may be in the work at that time . Patience and work with what you can control is the key ………..
Farve had many good things to say about Berrrian and shared his injury frustrations .
Marshall can help off set the Jets & Patriots . It’s a win win . The dome won’t favor him .
Awesome!
There’s only two Marshall considerations of any importance to me;
1. The Vikings don’t want him.
2. Marshall didn’t end up with another NFC North team. In fact, going to the AFC East is just about as far from us as he can be put. OUTSTANDING :)
Ah, ah,
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!
SKOL!
