Draft Week, another mock.

So, it's finally the draft week.

Hence, I decided to do one last mock, mixing my wishes with possible picks (the ones Childress and Spielman don't have a red flag on).

This time I decided to back down on all the trades I've made in my last mock, keeping it simpler and more realistic.

So, here it is:

Trade 30th and Sage Rosenfels to the Oakland Raiders for the 39th and the 69th.

39th pick - Tim Tebow (QB)
The Vikings actually make a lot of sense for Tebow on a number of levels. First of all Brett Favre obviously isn’t the long-term answer under center so even if he decides to come back for another season like most expect there are no guarantees beyond that. With that being the case Minnesota needs to start developing a successor sooner rather than later. Another factor is the Vikings stadium push and bringing in a high-profile, fan-friendly prospect like Tebow certainly wouldn’t hurt those efforts. Of all the places where Tebow could potentially land Minnesota might be the situation that would offer him the best opportunity to succeed. Everyone agrees that Tebow will need time to develop and in Minnesota there would be no rush to play him until 2011 or 2012.

62th pick - Chris Cook (CB)
Excellent height and bulk with long arms. Terrific athleticism. Great timed speed. Explosive with a burst. Smooth with fluid hips and transitions well. Superb agility and body control. Nice leaping ability. Soft Hands. Decent ball skills. Outstanding range. A reliable tackler. What more do you need ?

69th pick - John Jerry (G)
We need to give a push for both Herrera and Sullivan, Jerry can do just that, and he can start from day one.

93th pick - Eric Decker (WR)
Hometown boy, Vikings' own version of Joe Mauer(hopefully).

128th pick - Myron Rolle (S)
The Vikings' wants winners, and Myron Rolle definitely fits that description.

161th pick - Sam Young (OT)
We definitely need to look into adding depth to the offensive tackle position.

167th pick (Compensatory Pick) - Michael Hoomanawanui (TE)
Great blocker, and with the magnificent Jimmy K getting up there in age, we need someone to substitute him.
Can also play FB.

199th pick - George Johnson (DE)
Ray Edwards is entering his contract year, and after his amazing playoff run, he'll be looking for a huge deal. If the Vikings don't pay him, we'll need help at defensive end.

237th pick - John Connor (FB)
With the same name as the Terminator, how can one not pick him ?

So, what do you think ?
