Around SBN: Kobe Bryant Isn't Up To Speed On Jeremy Lin, 'Linning'

I'm not sure how much stock I put into the whole "first ever player/grandfather" thing. . .after all, George Blanda played until he was 48. . .but congratulations to the Favre family in advance of Brett's daughter Brittany having her first child.

This isn’t even about Brett Favre. Do we need major headlines about every member of his family now?

Another milestone

Just another push for him to play this season.

medicinball – I can understand that your sick of hearing about Favre’s every whim, but his attention drawing diva attitude has brought this type of attention on himself. Plus if he is the first Grandpa QB to play in decades(Blanda the only other one) it is worth mentioning in the slow off-season.

Don’t get me wrong I’ll take that “Diva” any day of the week.

Vikings please trade up to get Earl Thomas.

The baby’s already born, if anyone cares. It’s a boy.

I’ll admit, I am curious, in a soap-opera kind of way: who’s the dad? Don’t think Brittany is married, and I didn’t see any mention of last name. Brittany herself was raised in Favre’s parents home, while Brett was MIA, off playing & getting drunk. Wonder if history will repeat itself in the next generation.

p.s.

At same time i saw another article that mentioned favre was out watching Southern Miss practice, and gave a 10 minute talk to them. Along the way he said something about how he’s hoping maybe he can come out and watch some games this fall. Which of course would mean him retiring.

In a related way, Favre is also quoted somewhere as saying being a grandpa “complicates” his decision about next year.

Don’t want to make too much out of that (it’s probably something you just say, it doesn’t likely have much meaning), but it’s out there.

well heck

i already posted this lmao. anyways I kinda think this will help him come back to finish the last year of the contract. This way the little tike can go to one of his grandpa’s games.

Lots of cool things about it..

When you think about it.

Favre seems to set records all the time…

Now he can be the first Grandpa to play as an NFL player
First grandpa to be a NFL QB
HA – so many things he can turn out to be..

Imagine, as we all hope, B. Favre wins the Superbowl and he’s a grandpa…
That would be interesting…….

The diva that is B. Favre’s life, you know dang right some really want to see him play.

I hope that, if Vikings fans got nothing else out of the Favre experience last year, they at least understand why you want to see this guy play, no matter what his records and age an history are … you can just enjoy watching him play purely for for what he brings to the field and to the rest of his team. It makes it worth however much crap there is in the offseason.

Yes, i said it, it is crap. But it is worth it. And at least it is just :“roll your eyes and pull your hair out” crap, not horrifying crap, like him shooting someone, running around with tramps behind his wife’s back until he gets shot himself, being accused of rape, or getting thrown in prison for extreme cruelty to animals. It’s just plain old “make up yur farkin mind already” drama.

Well technically,

he is at least an active quarterback in the NFL but yes that would be awesome if he comes back and wins the SB as a grandpa. That would really tick the haters off lmao.

Imagine...

How we can taunt other teams… You got beat by a Grandpa of QB!!!! How does that feel??

Oh it could make the whole season just too much fun…..

Of course, we’ll get the bashes coming back when we lose a game here/there haha…
