Do I have to say I told you so? Yes, I told you so! I predicted this hours after the Vikings lost in the the NFC Championship Game..............................
Vikings @ Saints, Sept. 9th 2010!

The Vikings can exact a little pay back sooner than later.
The Super Bowl Winner always hosts the first game of next season on the first Thursday after Labor Day Monday, which puts the date of the NFL Season Opener on September 9th, 2010.
The NFL is all about marketing their brand. So what better season opener would there be than the previous years opponents in the NFC Championship Game that went into overtime? Answer is none.
Therefore I will put out there another one of my famous Guarantees: The Saints will host the Vikings in the 2010 NFL Season Opener on September 9th, 2010! I will also support my Guarantee with some facts. Basically my Guarantee has a 1 out of 8 chance of coming true, but as you will see it's more like a reality than a mere prediction. The Saints 2010 Home Opponents are the following teams:
Atlanta Falcons - The Super Bowl Winner has only played a division opponent once on that first Thusday since the NFL instituted it on September 9th, 2004 when New England hosted Indy. So no way! |
Carolina Panthers - The Super Bowl Winner has only played a division opponent once on that first Thusday since the NFL instituted it on September 9th, 2004 when New England hosted Indy. So no way! |
Tampa Bay Buccaneers - The Super Bowl Winner has only played a division opponent once on that first Thusday since the NFL instituted it on September 9th, 2004 when New England hosted Indy. So no way! |
St. Louis Rams - NO WAY! |
Seattle Seahawks - NO WAY!
Minnesota Vikings - YES WAY! ( PAYBACK IS A BEOTCH! ) |
Cleveland Browns - NO WAY! |
Pittsburgh Steelers - The only other slim to none possibility.
This is where it becomes more interesting: If Brett Favre knows that he can extract a little revenge sooner than later on the "LOW HIT ON a QB" and the loss of the 2009 NFC Championship Game to the Current Super Champions on a National Stage the very next game he plays.............. Then Favre will get those juices going much sooner and will be back as the starting QB of our beloved 2010 Minnesota Vikings. So GONZO or whomever can get the word to the NFL and Brett Favre that the first game of the season could be a nice little bit of payback, would be much appreciative. How great the anticipation of the 2010 season opener will be for every Viking Fan! REVENGE will be in sight on Sept 9th 2010! GUARANTEED!!!!!!! |
