I can't remember a time when the Minnesota Vikings had a load of potential at the corner position. However, this year might be a first. Not everyone is a 100%. Winfield is probably getting close to feeling like he once did. Griffin probably won't be getting many live reps until the beggining of the season. So who will be the starters come week one?...it won't be easy to decide, with the new addition of Chris Cook with our first pick in the 2010 draft, Lito Shepherd a former pro-bowler, and Asher Allen in last years draft with a physical nature. And of course the scrappy guy in Benny Sapp.

 Personally, the only lock for his starting position will be Winfield. I believe he's earned every right to say he's got that locked down. I don't see him moving to safety because he covers his side of the hash to side-line in run support better then anyone.

So whose going to play on the other side? Griffin was the man last year, and he seemed to do alright, or atleast good enough to keep his starting role throughout the season. he's injured now, however, and we've got some great options in place. We got experience in Lito, who according to a fan/friend of the eagles is a play-maker. He's played in some big games with the eagles and has made big plays in those games. Then there is the young and promising guys. Asher Allen and our 1st pick of the draft; Chris Cook. Asher is entering his second year, and things should be more fluent this year for him. If he is valuable we will start to see it this year. I liked his tackling ability (also seen on special teams) The guy i'm most excited about, if only because of his height, is Chris Cook. We need a Tall CB to make it a little more fair against the physical specimens at reciever that the NFC north has been attaining. More so, to defend the bigger targets in the tight ends.

My opinion, It will be Winfield and Lito starting the year off, with Cook in at Nickel or special packages to man up on tight ends or taller recievers. Whose your Pick?...Do you all not think as high as i'm feeling about Lito?...
