Joe Webb's potential

http://www.startribune.com/sports/vikings/blogs/96222824.html

Rookie Joe Webb clearly has impressed the Vikings with his efforts this offseason.

The quarterback got second-team reps for both of today's indoor practices at Winter Park, leaving veteran Sage Rosenfels as a spectator for much of the time. Tarvaris Jackson got the first-team reps in both practices. By my count, Webb completed six of nine passes during team periods in the second practice.

Rosenfels, by the way, declined to comment afterward.

I have to get working on a daily story for the paper, but it's worth noting cornerback Antoine Winfield expressed confidence that not only is his broken foot healed but that he will be able to play the left corner for another year or two before making the move inside to the nickel.

Winfield does not sound convinced that he will ever end up playing safety, something that many fans have discussed. "I haven't played safety since high school so that would be a big change for me," Winfield said. "We'll see."

We'll add more highlights from the second session once we're done working on daily stories.

Joe webb is one of my favorite new weapons of this team. He's athletic, smart, and can play either QB or WR. He's also from UAB which is the school I will be attending next year for my freshman year. During the minicamp he's been getting most of the reps with the 2nd team (probably meaning the Vikings dont like what they see in Rosenfels).

So what could this possibly mean for him and our team?
