Johnny Jolly Suspended for "at least 2010"
While we're on the subject of our rivals to the east. . .
Among those alleged extraneous offenses: That Jolly "bought, sold, funded, transported and aided in the buying, selling, funding and transportation of illegal narcotics including cocaine and marijuana" in Harris County from 2006 through May 2008.
The prosecutor also intends to introduce evidence that during the same period, Jolly was seen smoking marijuana and consuming liquid codeine; that Jolly "showed deception" during a polygraph test this month when asked about his use of alcohol, marijuana and street narcotics while on bond since December 15; and that he has attended nightclubs and bars and consumed alcohol since December, in violation of his bond.
Fans of the rest of the non-Minnesota teams in the NFC North can resume jumping up and down and screaming about two guys that took a legal, over-the-counter supplement that didn't list all its ingredients while ignoring this dope like everyone has for the past year and a half.

Its not idiocy that is causing him a problem.
It would seem that Jolly’s actions are a result of his being an “addict”. It could be that he was simply “greedy” and thought that being a dealer was more profitable than being an NFL player but I suspect , since he was using, that he is a addict.. Addiction is not a result of intelligence or lack thereof. It is a shame that talented individuals get so addicted to drugs, power, or fame that they throw their careers away.
His actions were stupid actions. But like many before him it is a sign of other issues rather just a single bad decision.

I’m sure that’s part of it. Hanging around with the guys he grew up with isn’t smart for him to do, especially since many of them are basically thugs/known gangsters.
Why I say he is an idiot is because he basically threw everything he had away. He had somewhat of a coming out season for us last season, and now he might not ever play another down in the league.

I don’t mean to be an English proffessor. But I think Idiocy is the wrong term.
My point was that Jolly made stupid errors and was therefore stupid. He was an addict an acted like one. But idiocy is caused by a lack of intelligence. I don’t think one can blame addiction on idiocy.
In other words even smart individuals can become addicts and act stupid. But a smart individual can never be an idiot. ( Although they can certainly act like one)

He's not ignored
I bring him up as a counter-arguement every time a Packer-backer tries to throw the Williams’ wall in my face. Typically they bring up the ‘well he hasn’t been convicted in court yet and I don’t think he did it!’ arguement… and now that is gone.
GB shouldn’t be any worse off for it though. I mean, they’ve been preparing for his suspension for a while.
The difference is that the Williams wall are pro bowl caliber players. Jolly is just a guy. He started last year but wasn’t slated to start in 2010. It hurts our depth a LOT though…we now have to rely on rookies and justin freakin Harrell. I am not happy about this but its not going to self destruct the team or something.
I think the Packers knew this was coming though…look at the moves they’ve made: Drafted 2 rookie DEs despite being “deep” at that position. Moved Pickett to DE in the off season.
You guys compete with who has more messed up players?
Coach Boone: And who's team is this, Gary? Is this your team? Or is this your daddy's team?
Bertier: Yours.
Coach Boone: Now get on the bus. Put on your jacket first and then get on the bus.
Trevor you truely bleed green . But in an infectious way .
First, Jolly was one of three men on a #1 run Defense and you think he was being replaced ? Your Nose has moved into his RDE position . Are you saying Pickett sucked at Nose too ! Please . We lost Koren Robinson after he had an amazing year . Vike fans didn’t whine and call him poor . We lived with a team decision . Then moved on . I bought his jersey and call it my Vick Jr. jersey . His presense will be missed . If you maintain your #1 status I will apologize . If you are two or less I won’t hold my breath . I’ll have to hear you continue to whine thuogh I’m sure .
Next , Jolly was pulled over . Symptoms were recognized . Purple drank , laced with a high dose of perscription Codeine . A banned substance in the NFL . Cross examination in Court would bring out those results . Especially if they plan to continue with added charges . Like Vick . When they establish he crossed any border it becomes Federal . Russell was caught in a two month sting . He’s confident that he will get out of his charges . If !!! If Russell is linked to Jolly . Russell being from LA . That being the state that boarders Texas . Do you see where this is going . Vick fans said too he was innocent . I mentioned the boarder theory . They laughed and called it rambling rants once again …. Two year sting involving 400lbs. of Codiene, Marijuana, and Cocaine . Purchase.sales ditribution ,transportation, trrafficing and use of networking others . The obvious is that he refuses to implicate GB players and personal . Until it becomes Federal . Then he will squeal like the cheese eating rat that he is .
Last, He doesn’t upset me at all . The Packer Organization does ! They had an obvious felon sign a Tender to secure his rights . No obligation to pay him . But a hush money agreement . One not to implicaThe BIG GREEN LIAR MACHINE is at it again The arrogance . The list of names will come out . It will be a shock to everyone but me . Hint . A few may get released during the trim down to 53 . You Pack fans can claim they weren’t worthy . Then a couple years down the road it will come out . It’s not how we teach our children . But Business never is ??
This was one of about 5 topcs that sent me packin’ at APC . Guys your right . They called Jolly’s situation a dead case . Then advised me to move on to a real issue . When I asked how the #1 run D would perform with only one player in his original position . Well that may have made 5B .
Gothic- Why go off on a tangent, AGAIN
1) If you are replying to Trevor Please use the reply button. This will really help all DN readers.
2) Why attack Trevor when he said:
It hurts our depth a LOT though…we now have to rely on rookies and justin freakin Harrell. I
3) Why blame the Packers organization. They didn’t condone Jolly"s actions.
4) Why continually blame the APC for banning you when it was your posts that caused you to be banned.
5) Please use paragraphs to separate your different thoughts.
Your conspiracy theory that JaMarcus Russell and Jolly were in cahoots is extremely interesting. If indeed it turns out to be true I will be giving you all the credit. I do believe that even the paranoid in this world are stalked once in a while. But it is hard to imagine that a football player who made 36 Million in three years is a major codeine dealer. I guess we will see.

How about one that finances dog fighting? Not saying he is right, but I am not finding it hard to imagine someone with buko bucks and privilege (real or not) doing something stupid.
Investing as opposed to a hobby
The Michael Vick dog fighting fiasco was more of a rich person financing a hobby rather than financing an dope ring. Either is possible and who knows where this codeine case will lead. But it still is a stretch, at this point, to connect Russell and Jolly, without some evidence of the connection.

LLV I have advice for you friend .
Why do you ask for facts from me when you can’t present them yourself . Time and time again I am asked to present sources . I do . And no apologies . Telling Trevor he bleeds green is a compliment Moron ! Wake up and stop defending Pack fans . Go do that at your favorite site Achme . Trevor is not a moron . He is a typical Packer fanatic . If I told R4F he bleeds purple . He’ld reply . +4 So get with the program . This isn’t a 3rd grade church blog . Sorry to ruin your Christmas ! I state simple facts and you get your skirt all twisted . Oh by the way . Present me facts that you don’t look good in a skirt like Jethro Bo Viking implied and I will stop bashing your conservative yet femanine view .
Back to topic . Jolly was stopped and found to have Purple drank in his car and in his system . Thaat’s a fact . He was observed for two years to be involved in all the above crimes . His one year suspension came after this info had to come out in Court . Every legal system requires those arrested to cooperate with Names of suppliers and clients .
How is this taunting, bashing or ranting . Unless you are a 40 year old still living in Mommy’s basement . I suggest you get out a little more often . Your false , bullying anti-Purplegothic ways need to stop . We here at DN would hate to see Gonzo warn you . Over a compliment to a Pack fan . Trevor . I enjoy your opinions . I know most on this site want all opinions that don’t favor the “clicks” opinions to be stopped . I was a teacher long removed from being the student . I have forgotten more about football than most on this site has learned in their lifetime . Sorry fellas if the new boy in school steals your girlfriends, lunchmoney and homework . Quit crying to mommy Cause I slept with her too .
Trevor . My simple point is …….Jolly is guilty of his small crimes . He will need to rat to sidestep his big crimes . God help him make the right decisions . But the real Idiot is your Pack Organization that appears IMO to be paying him w/future money to stay hush . LLV started ranting and I was side tracked .
- for LLV …….Having a drug dealer sign a future contract giving the Pack exclusive rights is indeed condoning . #4 How would you know unless you helped them make the decision . #5 Please except my literary style . As I have embrased your Skirt in the air breastfeeding style . Like I said . Prove to me you don’t look better in a skirt ? Then I will do what you never could . APOLOGIZE !!!
VF Something stupid is what a bench warmer does . This was GB’s last hope of beating Brett fair and square . This one guy blew their chances . Adrian will run all over that Defense and I won’t get to see Brett get 400+ on the Pack ! That’s what’s really burning me !!!
You don't happen
To live under a power line or something, do you?
I wouldn’t say your posts make no sense, but, like you’ve been smoking something or just got done when you post 1/2 your comments though
I do find your conpiracy theory very intriguing.

Haha this is just ridiculous. What exactly do you propose Ted is paying him to stay hush about? Is Ted the kingpin of Jolly’s alleged drug dealing operation (alleged by you by the way)? I mean seriously dud, get real. No one in the Packers organization has anything to do with Jolly taking, selling, or buying drugs.
I wouldn’t doubt it Jolly has been funding an operation for which his old friends back in Houston run, somewhat similar to what Vick did with Bad Newz Kennel. Did you also think the Falcons organization had something to do with Vick and his illegal activites? My guess is no, you didn’t.
I get you like to get people going, and force them to “read in between the lines” but accusing basically the entire Packers organization of being involved in the running of a drug operation simply because one of their players MAY be is just stupid.
Also, Jolly signing his tender doesn’t hardly mean our FO condones his actions, and the things he allegedly involved in. He was offered that tender, and signed it before his suspension came. There was always the chance that Jolly either wouldn’t be convicted, or suspended, so yeah, the FO is going to sign him to his tender and see how things play out from there. Again, all of this hardly means that the FO “condones” his actions.

Jolly was a starter for us yes but largely only got that spot because Raji sprained his ankle badly in our last preseason game. All indications pointed to Raji being the starter until then. Jolly was serviceable for us last season. Good against the run but lacking in all other areas. Not surprisingly, soon after our season ended, it was reported that Raji would become the starting NT, while Pickett took over Jolly’s spot (Pickett is a better run stopper then Jolly too, IMO).
Your not really referring to Jolly when you say, “This one guy blew their chances” are you lol? This isn’t Aaron Rodgers we’re talking about here..

To the "CLICK" .
Take your own advice and stay on topic . I see it is too easy to distract you all . Maybe I will change my style after all . LLV why don’t you start by being opinionated . Grimes, do something mean to a Pack fan today . Jethro Bo , tell Grandma her attends are showing . 555 , hide from the DN for a week . Trevor shout at the top of your lungs the Pack sux ! Then David T. can whisper we do swallow …..R4F can cheer for Cullen Loeffler all year instead . He is more consistent than Brett . And doesn’t waffle . Oh ya Gonzo can Bitch slap Christopher Gates ! There is that enough to happen for me to stop trying to get at the truth !
-——-Doctor Gothic loves all his Patients as long as they pay their Bill on time ????
555 , hide from the DN for a week .
If I did that who would call you out on the all the bullshit you like to spew :)?

Very Rude and Disrespectful
Your response to me and every other poster you mentioned is rude and disrespectful
I really expect you to follow rule #4 of the DN Guidelines just like all the rest of us here at DN follow the rule.
4) Don’t Get Personal
I fully understand that there are going to be disagreements between folks on this site on many matters. . .the direction of the team, coaching decisions, players, and so forth. This will lead to debates, more spirited debates, and possibly flat-out arguments. All of those things are fine, but if they’re going to happen, attack the post, not the poster.
