Touchdowns in Madden '11 Just Became MUCH More Fun than in Previous Versions
Not a big story at all, but something that got me pretty excited.
Madden 2011 is reverting back to the "classics" for it's always popular, in-game soundtrack.
The complete in-game soundtrack for Madden NFL 11 includes.

- Kiss – Rock and Roll All Nite
- Ozzy Osbourne – Let Me Hear You Scream
- Ozzy Osbourne – Crazy Train
- The Hives – Tick Tick Boom

Madden has become well-known over the years for boosting the music careers of numerous, then unknown, artists. Bands like, Good Charlotte, Avenged Sevenfold, Seether, Franz Ferdinand, and OK Go have all vaulted to musical prominence after the Madden soundtrack included their first hits, but this year they are looking to give fans of the game a much more realistic, "game experience".
“This year, we wanted the music to not only define the game, but also the stadium experience. These are the classics that consistently bring NFL crowds to their feet. It’s an exciting new audio direction for Madden NFL, one that we know all fans will respond to. There is nothing like the experience of live football in a packed stadium, and the Madden NFL 11 soundtrack absolutely brings that excitement home.”
Now, for the reason why I say, "Touchdowns Just Became Much More Fun".
In bringing this "experience of live football in a packed stadium" to gamers, Madden '11 is also going to include some authentic, team FIGHT SONGS!! One of my favorite things about the live experience at the Metrodome is the ritualistic singing of "Skol Vikings" after every score, and thanks to the creators of Madden, we will be treated to the best fight song in the NFL, in-game!!!
Team Fight Songs:
- Chicago Bears – Bear Down Chicago Bears
- Detroit Lions – Gridiron Heroes
- Green Bay Packers – Go Packers Go!
- Miami Dolphins – Miami Dolphins #1
- Minnesota Vikings – Skol Vikings
- Philadelphia Eagles – Fly Eagles Fly
- Washington Redskins – Hail to the Redskins
It's a small addition to the game that, at least to me, will make the playing experience that much better.
V-I-K-I-N-G-S!! Skol Vikings, Let's Go!!!!!

they ought to add that horn to the sound system for the vikings kinda like the use to do when the buccaneers scored on madden and the cannons would fire
Viking horn (after first downs) will be included
as it was in a couple of versions before ’10.
If you can't laugh at yourself... Who can you laugh at?
The Packers, that’s who.
-- The almighty Manimal
I just hope they don’t overplay the horn like they do in real life…save it for BIG plays, not a 5 yard run!
PA Announcer: And that’s a Minnesota Vikings…
Crowd: 1st down!!!
ah ooooooooooo

Amen to that
It’s too bad Zep RARELY gives out the rights to their songs. Jack Black had to BEG to get Immigrant Song in “School of Rock”.
That song, above all others, defines Minnesota Vikings football. It really WOULD be great to have it in the game.

the next step...
Is to have Ragnar out there riding his motorcycle, and the flag boys running around after every score.
That and a really long line for the trough.
I lock my door and tie the key to my dogs tail.
By the time I get the damn key I really have to take a piss. Just like at a real game.
It's a lot easier to love the Vikings when they win...
Great move!
I’ll miss getting to know some new music and hearing it ahead of the curve (still remember the first time I heard a few songs on the radio for the first time and I already knew the song. But I like that they are making the game feel more realistic and like the real event! Good choices of songs too!
