There's always two sides to every story right?

New Orleans Saints say there were no cheap shots in the Minnesota game: video

Some members of Minnesota Vikings have accused the New Orleans Saints of cheap shots in the NFC Championship game.

Darren Sharper and Drew Brees addressed that after Wednesday's workout.

Star-divide

Darren Sharper and Drew Brees on the Vikings charges of cheap shots

But hey this is coming from the Saints and One Ex-Viking who said "X" marks the spot on Favre, with the X being Favre's ankle, and a guy who wasn't even on the field when Favre was getting beaten.  Did Drew leave with an ankle looking like this?

Favreanklex-large_medium

I don't think so, so how in the hell could he even know what was going on, on the field at the time.

AND NO F'ing penalty was even called on the play. SO Both Drew and Darren with all do respect shut the hell up with the  "OH if it was a cheap shot it would have been called" crap.  Its clearly HIGH DEFINITION EVERY ANGLE a cheap shot .

Well, Sept. which is a week for 2ma, it's going down. Big Time.. Huge Time... Gigantic Time... But no, This is not a playoff battle, or even a Superbowl battle, it's war.

Yea, I'm starting the trash talking. "F" the Saints... "F" their organization... I have no pity for them.. May God Bless their city, but football wise screw them.

OH, Unbanned your not "CLASSY"!! You know what who gives a damn, I'm ready to see smashmouth football.  If i have to hear about the "Packers" and Godly/Elite/Robotic Aaron Rodgers being the favorites or even leaders of this division one more time...

My Predictions

9/9 @ New Orleans 7:30 -Viking win
9/19 Miami Noon- Viking win
9/26 Detroit Noon- Viking win
10/3 Bye N/A- Viking win, Cooks gonna come back, and a week for Favre to heal.
10/11 @ NY Jets 7:30- Hmm on the Fence, I'll say Jets just to make things seem realistic but I think the Vikings pull this one off to. - Jets win
10/17 Dallas 3:15 - Screw Dallas, Vikings win
10/24 @ Green Bay 7:20- Aaron eats dirt, Jared Brings the hurt, the Packers fight, but it's not gonna work, Viking win
10/31 @ New England 3:15- Sadly, Randy Moss will show out.  I do believe this. And we're on the road. So NE
11/7 Arizona Noon- Yea we remember last year, Vikings win
11/14 @ Chicago Noon- One of these games will have to go to the Bears. So Bears here.
11/21 Green Bay Noon- GB win..ugggh disgusting to say...
11/28 @ Washington Noon- Vikings win
12/5 Buffalo Noon- Vikings win
12/12 NY Giants Noon- 3 straight years losing to the Vikes? IDK so Giants here
12/20 Chicago 7:30 - Vikings win
12/26 @ Philadelphia

Noon- Vikings win

1/2 @ Detroit Noon- Vikings win

So I predict an 11-5 season. I'm trying to keep things unbiased here so I think I've done that.  Hell we might go 14-2 since you know Childress has improved two games each year in his career as Vikings Head Coach.

And for The "AMAZING" Cheeseheads

1 Sep 12 GB @ PHI Lincoln Financial Field 4:15 PM- Packers
2 Sep 19 BUF @ GB Lambeau Field 1:00 PM- Packers
3 Sep 27 GB @ CHI Soldier Field 8:30 PM- Bears
4 Oct 03 DET @ GB Lambeau Field 1:00 PM- Packers
5 Oct 10 GB @ WAS FedEx Field 1:00 PM- Redskins
6 Oct 17 MIA @ GB Lambeau Field 1:00 PM- Packers
7 Oct 24 MIN @ GB Lambeau Field 8:20 PM- Minnesota
8 Oct 31 GB @ NYJ New Meadowlands Stadium 1:00 PM- Packers, Mark Sanchez loves throwing picks, Packers love interceptions.
9 Nov 07 DAL @ GB Lambeau Field 8:20 PM- Dallas
10 Bye
11 Nov 21 GB @ MIN Mall of America Field 1:00 PM- Packers

12 Nov 28 GB @ ATL Georgia Dome 1:00 PM- Atlanta

13 Dec 05 SF @ GB Lambeau Field 1:00 PM- San Fran

14 Dec 12 GB @ DET Ford Field 1:00 PM-Packers
15 Dec 19 GB @ NE Gillette Stadium 8:20 PM- Packers
16 Dec 26 NYG @ GB Lambeau Field 4:15 PM- Packers

17 Jan 02 CHI @ GB Lambeau Field 1:00 PM- Bears, yes a sweep

So here you go, Packers, once again finishing "1" game behind Minnesota, and yes, finally MAYBE get a "W" against our team. However, we're going to the Superbowl so this doesn't matter.

Hey, I'm an expert, BSPN sure isn't, my predictions are at least more realistic than the bull most put up.

So true.

Exactly, what I was thinking. If the hits weren’t hinky, then why did the NFL see fit to fine their asses?

So are late hits termed dirty hits?

And a few late hits from the Saints equate to them having a Dirty Defense?

If this is your statistical method of operation, then I sir would take a look in the Mirror. I mean if DN are going to want to hold the Saints Defense accountable and accuse them of have a “dirty Defense”, how can we do this when the Vikings in the past have made some “dirty hits” and been accused of having a “dirty defense”.

Hey our house is made of plexiglass so it's much harder to break the windows.

Yes we have had some late hits. Three in a game is a bit much though. Three in a game that was teh NFCCG is a bit telling as well. Seems a rather important game for this behavior to just ‘suddenly’ appear. Would I liken your D to Oaklands back in the day? Nope, do I realy have a problem with your D hitting our QB? Nope! It’s part of the game it’s up to us to stop it. Now I do have an issue when the ref’s stated that they felt they were calling to many late hits on Favre so let that last one slide. If you’re going to break the rules you should pay for it with a 15 yard penalty (that’s what’s supposed to stop you from doing it anymore)

It's a lot easier to love the Vikings when they win...

We don’t know what would have happened last year either. We might have still found a way to lose. Lord knows we were more talented. The Vikings fumbled away their chance at the Super Bowl.

And who knows? Maybe we would have went on and got stomped by the Colts. Maybe not. It’s always unpredictable in this league.

I think we have as good a shot this year as last. Let’s look towards the future.

It can be annoying. There were obvious cheap shots. But I think we would react the same way. We would defend our team while looking through our purple goggles. They don’t want it to cheapen their Championship season.. And in all honesty it shouldn’t. The refs should have caught it. When I played football our coaches taught us to play dirty. Throat shots, spitting, etc, etc… It was all encouraged. And that’s not rare. It’s football. I think going for someone’s ankle or knees is way overboard and uncalled for. But that’s going to happen. It needs to be better regulated.

Agreed, but.......

we need to pick our spots in the game. Can’t do anything stupid, the zebras will be overcompensating for their screwups in NFCCG. Would like to see Jamarca Sanford start at safety. The man hits. Ray Edwards needs to tee off as well, as he did with Romo. Special teams play is also conducive to big hits, within the rules. An AP forearm shiver, or a steamroll, ala Steeler safety Gay would be fine. The key is to WIN the game, but, if we can send a few of theirs to the trainer’s room, within the rules, all the better.

F'em!!!!

I say roll these clowns!!! You get a shot at Brees, make sure you give it all you have. Bury your helmet in the guy’s spine & watch the flags fly. We Viking fans have been extremely gracious about this. Now we have to listen to Brees & Puss-ball (that’d be Sharper) say no cheap shot….plus “they would have called it if it was a cheap shot?”????

I dont understand how, as a Viking fan, I’m supposed to just “get over it”. We got jobbed in more ways than just the refs looking the other direction. Blow these guys knees every chance you get in the opener. This is just beyond pathetic.

Nah…never happened though. I must just be one of those “bitter, whining Vi’queen fans” right???? Pathetic.

..and after all of that BS in the NFC Championship game last year, the NFL sees fit to open the entire season on a Thursday night with the Vikings playing in NO?? This is such BS marketing. We should open with the Bears or something. This wreaks of conspiracy.

Talk it up Brees. I sure hope Allen & the boys wreck you. Yes..I said it. Yes, I really feel that way.

I love how this post is titled " there's always two sides to every story right?".

Yet the entire body of the post was completly one sided. Two sides also mean polar opposites. Heads is the polar opposite of tails. I do not understand what this was trying to accomplish, other than to fuel a misguided hatred. There is no opposing idea or commentary on this.

I will personally admit this: Bobby McCray had a late hit on Bret Farve. Now can we move on?

Seriously I get it. The Saints were not the best team when they played the Vikings in the NFCCG. I understad that.
If the Saints lost to the Vikings and you guys went on to the Superbowl, would you be saying the same things as you are saying now. Would you even care?

If the Saints actually lost to the Colts, I could understand the furey of your frustration thinking the Vikings out played the Saints and they should of, could of, would of beat the Colts if given an opportunity.

There are 16 games that are played before the playoffs. Each game has a impact on the standings in the playoffs.
If the Vikings would have beaten the Bears that one forgettable night, then you guys would have been the number one seed right? That would have put the Saints on your home-field. That would have given you a decisive advantage being that it is the loudest place in the NFL right. But this did not happen.

You cannot look at the summation of an entire NFL season through the looking glass of one game. If you did, then every team will have both a great and horrible season.

by jeremysherwin on Sep 1, 2010 5:12 PM CDT reply actions

The other side of the story is us Vikings fans.

We’ve been calling “the Saints dirty, and the officials blind” ever since the NFCCG ended.

NFCCG’s don’t come around very often. You should know this, you’re a Saints fan. :)
So when you get robbed of chance to win due to cheap hits and blind officials, it hurts just a little bit more than losing fair and square.

by chaosg on Sep 1, 2010 6:07 PM CDT up reply actions

The Saints side was expressed by Brees and Sharper... no flags = no cheap shots or intention to injure.

They’re athletes, so i guess we can’t expect them to be geniuses. Maybe they forgot about their teammates’ fines. They actually were more effective at substantiating the accusations in my opinion. Otherwise, I agree with everything you’ve said. Hell, even if we had won that game how would Favre have been able to play in the SB on that ankle?

I think you just summed up our frustration with that game and proved yourself to be a classy fan of a winning team. We lost, and while we have good reasons to be frustrated about why we lost, it’s stupid to call the Saints down for taking advantage of good fortune and missed calls. My take on it for what it's worth

Of course I agree that there were a couple of late hits and missed calls. I think it comes down to what you consider a “cheap shot.” No intelligent football player would purposely break rules, rough the passer/kicker, etc. just for the fun of doing it. They know that behavior would only be likely to hurt their team (through penalties) and/or their pocketbook (through fines.) That being said, when a team plays with aggression, things happen—late hits, hits that go low, etc. You know that every member of the defense knows the NFL doesn’t want anyone to touch the QB’s head. But look how often it happens. I’m sure the Vikes and every other NFL team had their share of roughing and unsportsmanlike calls through the season last year. If my team hadn’t, I’d be concerned about their level of desire!

I’ve often said that I consider the Vikes to be a high quality team with consistant talent. I’ll certainly be in that number on September 9th, (no small feat since I’ll have to travel about 1,000 miles!) Here’s hoping for a great game, with little to no injuries (if that’s at all possible!) Oh, and ditto on the hopes for good officiating!

Seriously?

Are we really stll talking about the cheap shots put on us by the Aints…..?
I am die hard Vikings fan but 2 things about this bother me.
NUMERO Uno- We were clearly the better team out there on both sides of the ball. The Aints have far less talent. But the scheme their way into turnovers and Victories. Out coached and outplayed IMO.
We the purple. Blew that fukn game in everyway. We fumbled. Threw. Dropped. The proverbial ball. We were out coached as well.
They hit as hard and often. And you know what, we did not scheme to stop them!!!!!!!!! We failed.
NUMERO DOS- The time to flatten them was then. We had every opporrunity to turn it on in that game and didn’t. This bums me iyt still. I remember yelling at the tv saying if the refs are calling this shit….we gotta do it ourselves. I sure hope our beloved Vikes cab find that fire once again. Last year was to fun and enjoyable. This year our schedule is brutal and we are now going to get the Fire thrown at us from every opponent. Let’s hope our Oline is up to the task. And our coaching is equally superior…..or I am afraid were gonna see TJac all to soon"!!!!

Stay healthy after Thur. vs. DEN is my focus . The Purple Warriors will handle the field come Sept. 9 .

First , Brett’s wife carried out a cup of fragments and stuff after the procedure . Remember the thigh bruise gives him more pain than the ankle .
Second , The Saints players were dished out three sets of fines by the league after the game . These guys sound a lot like Packer fans . Oh . I see one of their coaches has to miss the game because he admitted to a realestate swindle . And they pretend to care about their devastated city while they are scamming money out of those trying to rebuild . And using the teams rep to seal the deal .

Agreed, several of us have expressed this sentiment repeatedly.

You’re right, our OL had the opportunity and responsibility to protect Favre at any cost and failed to do so. This was after your D used similar tactics on Warner, and Greg Williams stated in the media that Favre would get the same treatment. Here’s hoping the season opener is another hard-fought contest, with less controversy, no injuries and different results!

On a side note… several Saints fans have taken the high road here on DN, even in some threads where we’ve shown our ass. I appreciate the class that you, Jricky, lb, Grumps, Whodat… and probably others have shown. Jricky and Cali may have done us all a favor with that infamous exchange a couple of months ago, or maybe it’s just been coincidence. Either way, the dialogue with Saints fans has been healthier of late.

I read that post and I have to agree in that there were not two sides to that post. It was yet another I hate the Saints and everyone was conspiring to keep the Vikings out of the Superbowl. For one, the ankle spurs were on the ankle that was not injured that night. For two, you try to stop yourself in mid-fall in the air. For three, what other late hits were there?? And finally, yeah the league fined some players to make up to the rest of the people. The league should have grew a pair and said, maybe they were late hits and maybe they were not, we are not going to penalyze a group of people cause the Vikings didn’t make it into the Superbowl. We understand that there is a large Viking fan base that purchases Viking goods and we don’t want to alienate them. etc etc etc. Late hits, I hate hearing that because I have yet to see any footage from the game that shows a late hit. The interception, yeah it was an interception and Favre got taken out, just like Brees would have got taken out if he threw an interception. Not a late hit. The ankle thing?? WTF he was falling donw!!!!!!!! Yeah that’s a late hit. So where are the late hits!!!? The Saints get called cheats and d-bags and what not, and I call out the vikings fans to show me where the late hits are. Just because the lazy and scrotum-less people that are in charge of the NFL decide to fine some players to appease the masses doesn’t make it right. So where are these late hits??? If those are the only two you can think of, maybe you should review the rules and tape a little bit more before you start spouting your foulness about the Saints

Actually I do feel better. The high, low hit on farve was one of those unfortunate hits that happens in the NFL. If on purpose, that would be total cheap shot and I would have quit watching the game. But it was not and you can clearly see that McCray was stumbling to get to the QB, in fact a Vikings OL pushed him in the back(Youtube it, you can totally see the guy push McCray at Farve) and thats why he was falling down towards Farve and Ayodele was trying to bat the ball down and well gravity took over as he hit farve. And the Vikings did hit Brees late. I saw a clip where Allen hits brees late then drags him by the leg like 2-3 yds. And a hit where Edwards Drives Brees to the ground just like Ayodele got flagged for. And even if no one read its, I just had to get that off my chest. And I know a soldier brought the Darren Bin Laden, Most Army and Marine Infantry doesn’t think about the ramifications of somthing like that, but Shaincoe should have know better and not posted the pics. Thats what he did wrong. Shot it, have fun with it, fine. But don’t brag about it and post pics.

But the deliberate twisting of the ankle that ddrew the next day fine wasn't what normally happens in the NFL was it now .

by gothicpurple on Sep 2, 2010 11:54 AM CDT up reply actions

Sorry I was at lunch, and about to take off for home. In the videos I have seen i can not see the deliberate twisting on the ankle. If McCray did, then that is on him. Not the Saints D as a whole. And the only the only reason he hit low was cause a OL pushed him in the back and cause him to stumble and fall. Then again maybe McCray is a dirty player but don’t say the saints played dirty that game when all it was, was hard hitting by both teams and not cheap shots. And lets not forget that Farve has always had ankle issue and just getting hit like that would cause his ankle to look like that. Believe me I know about ankle issues I have then myself.

Enough about last season though. I’m very much looking forward to this season and tonight actually. It’s the first preseason game I’ll get to watch. I was up north fishing all the other games and only listened to them on the radio.

Explain.

The Saints got fewer roughing the passer calls last year than the Vikings did if you look at the entire season. If Gregg Williams is coaching players to take late hits I’d hate to see what the Vikings coaches are teaching.

You know what, Jshore, you're absolutely right.

The Saints were the better team that day and the final score proved it. The Vikes need to stop shooting themselves in the foot. I didn’t like some of the questionable hits to Favre, but our OL should have done a better job and finished the plays. Our D could have also done a better job of sending Drew a few remember me shots as well. Last season is over and this years is about to begin with two very good teams battling it out.

“if this game had played out opposite where Allen basically cheap shotted Brees 2-3 times”

Actually, it wasn’t Allen (surprisingly) that picked up Brees and drove him to the ground and didn’t get penalized for it. (The same thing Hargrove got penalized for a little earlier.)

And, it wasn’t Allen that intentionally hit Brees in the head with his forearm but didn’t get penalized for it.

Granted, neither of those hits knocked him out of the game, but you can’t, in good conscience, tell me they weren’t trying.

The refs were horrible that game.

There were missed calls ON BOTH SIDES.

BOTH SIDES got “lucky” on a few plays.

BOTH SIDES fought hard.

BOTH SIDES played physical.

It was a damn close game, by the two best teams in the NFC that year.

by Dan Kelly on Sep 2, 2010 10:17 AM CDT up reply actions

Be careful how you define cheating, Grime

If getting a penalty equals cheating, then the Vikings were pretty big cheaters in that game too. They got the penalty for 12 men because the refs caught them trying to cheat. However you feel about the pass interference call in OT, that was the refs penalizing the Vikings for what they saw as not playing by the rules. I’m sure you don’t think that penalty should have been called, but earlier in the game the refs called a 15 yarder when Favre tried to throw a block on a D-lineman and got himself lit up, and I’m certain that shouldn’t have been a penalty. So what exactly are we defining as cheating here, Grime?

When you dream

You may as well dream big.

Here’s a question for you.

Since some of you seem fixated in your posts on this revenge/inflicting injury/general resentment angle, will you even be able to enjoy watching the game? And if none of what you hope for occurs are you going to carry it on throughout the season hoping and praying that something happens eventually to “settle the score” or “balance the scales”? What if this seemingly all encompassing desire for revenge that you have developed and nurtured never occurs?

The tit for tat mentality is strange to me. You have an issue with Bobby McCray and you declare war on Brees. Seems kind or irrational doesn’t it?

Kind of like how when Jared Allen grabbed Drew Brees by the legs and tried to drag him across the ground after Brees was down (which the refs completely ignored. You should thank them for that by the way)? How is that anything other than an attempt to injure our QB? So by your logic does that give the Saints free reign to do whatever they want to Favre? Because now he deserves it somehow?

I think you posted that here before.

Yes, there probably could have been a couple more penalties called against the Vikings, but if those are the worst “missed” calls that didn’t go the Saints way you have very little to complain about as none of those were blatant penalties. Watch this video and honestly say that there weren’t more missed calls that went against the Vikings. The unflagged hit on Favre and the phantom PI call could arguably have affected the outcome of the game.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRd5jkJ1dEo&feature=related

As for the dirty play talk I don’t agree with it. The high-low hit on Favre was arguably cheap and went unflagged but the other late hits were flagged and I don’t think one cheap shot makes the whole team “dirty”. That being said could we let this topic die already. Your team won and some Vikings fans still bitch about it. Big deal, ignore them already and move on.

When I first saw it I thought it was BS, but was glad that we got the call. But later on, a friend told me about the rule that proves the call to be a good one. The no call with the high/low was certainly a miss by the refs, but one could make an argument that the RtP call on Hargrove made up for it.

Here’s what Paul Allen and crew had to say about the calls:

Those videos were much better than the first one you posted.

The explanation for why the fourth and one play wasn’t overturned changed my opinion of that play. That call does appear to be correct. The Meachem call was one of those gray area calls in my mind and so I can disagree with it being a catch but understand the lack of indisputable evidence to overturn it. Missing the Shiancoe Jersey call is still pretty laughable though.

The pass interference video was very well done and explained the rule in detail. I still think the ball was completely uncatchable and I’ve never seen such mild tangling of the feet be the cause of a PI call before. Perhaps that call technically meets the bare minimum standards for a PI call but in practice that call is never made with that minimal amount of contact.

You changed my mind on one call and I understand the non-overturn on the other but that PI call will always be a terrible call in my mind despite the alleged stepping on of the foot : )

okay maybe not by any means necessary, but have you ever played football and more importantly on the defense. Taking out the other teams QB is the mission every single game. Not by cheap shots and late hits, but legally getting to the QB and blasting him is what every defense strives for. I mean are you going to say that the 85 Bears where cheap shot artists, cause the hurt like almost every QB the faced that year. Why, cause the hit as hard as they could like the Defense is supposed to do. Not just the QB, but every single player you hit, you are trying to hurt them. Man what has happened to football. To be quite honest the NFL has really gotten soft over the last few years. It makes me sad.

It is true that I did misread which post you were responding to, however.
I was merely pointing out that they already are.

To make things easier, let’s except your comments about Allen as fact and say he’s a dirty player. One player playing dirty would amount to what? One player playing dirty, right? I think it’s would be more than fair to put that on the player, wouldn’t it be?
Then, let’s say that two players were playing dirty in a game, would be a coincidence and put that on the two players. I think that’s more than fair.

So what does that make three players fined playing dirty in the same game? That is what is called a conspiracy. That means that it would not be unreasonable to assume that this was a conscious and deliberate act by the coaching staff to cause bodily harm by illicit means.

I think there is a difference between one dirty player and a dirty team.

I do, however, appreciate

You taking the time to come over to a Vikings site to talk about your opinion that Viking fans are somehow a step or two below fine, intelligent, classy fans like yourself.

I mean, it’s not even remotely true or anything. . .but, hey, I guess it’s not a lie if you believe it.

Thank you for playing, press 1 to read that again, or 2 to hang up

Thank goodness we have your enlightened opinion to lead us out of the darkness of our ways on the DN.

I’m so glad that you felt fit to come here for the first time (under this name) on the 31st of August, and then grace us with your wisdom in your very post 2 days later.

Where you during last season’s NFC CG? I was here. I’m pretty sure UnBannedVikingholic was here too. We sure could have used your enlightened, objective viewpoint then, when we were going through the moment.

[/sarcasm]

William D’Arcy, you come here out of the blue and try to lay your holier-than-thou bullcrap on us and I’m not buying into it. You haven’t earned the right to credibly take anyone here on the DN to task for anything, we don’t know you from Adam and at this point, I don’t care to know you. At all. You have contributed absolutely nothing to the DN, or to the Viking fan community here, and that puts UnBannedVikingholic about 20 stories over you. As far as I can see, UBV is a “True Vikings fan”, and you…. you’re just a literate troll.

And more, you’re wrong. Not completely wrong, but wrong enough to make it clear that if you watched the game, you didn’t understand what you were watching, and if you read about it later, your reading list was pretty limited. You don’t know what you’re talking about, despite your ability to write as if you do, and that further damages your credibility.

More, I don’t give a damn that you’re pissed about the bin Laden pic either. I served 20 years in the military and I know a bullshitter when I read one. Using the loss of buddies as a justification tool against free speech is pathetic, the guys I know who’ve lost friends have a lot more respect than that. People can, and will, joke about whatever the hell they want to, this is still a free country and THAT is what you were supposed to be fighting for. Or did that escape your attention?

Respect? You get none from me, troll.

Ah, ah,
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!

Man I picked a hell of a weekend to go back home to c my family and not have internet. The whole name thing, the accounts linked to facebook, what can you do.

First off I watched the game and I can’t remember how many times again after it was done. It was an awesome game. And where exactly was I wrong. Everything I stated about the game is supported by facts, from what I saw happen. And didn’t Farve just say that he expects to get hit like that week in and week out, cause that is just how football is played.

But that’s not what made me reply to this, in fact if it was just the first part, I would have said whatever, that didn’t really bother me. No what bother me is the last part., and I had this really long reply to it, but I don’t need to. I know what I fought for when I was deployed, and you obviously have never fought in a war, so why bother. You think that using a pic of the most hated man in America just for some stupid trash talking joke is okay, that proves how much you think of what we are fighting for. But it’s Free speech, WTF is that BS. Yes u have the right to say whatever you want in this country, but just because you can do something like that doesn’t make what they did with the pic right.

So as far as your respect goes. I don’t want it. Its about as worthless as a bag of Sh!$

Lions, Tigers and Douche bags, oh my.
So as far as your respect goes. I don’t want it. Its about as worthless as a bag of Sh!$

With a little research, it’s obvious that it’s not our respect and approval that you’re seeking. It’s apparent that every post that you’ve made on SBNation sites is to seek the approval and admiration of the members of the Canal Street Chronicles.

Let’s look at the only post you’ve ever made on the site of the team you’re so allegedly devoted to.

I could no longer take it and had to break my silence
And I thought my first posting of anything on a SB nation website would be here, but I could no longer take the whining and crying and had to post my feelings on the matter. So go check out what i wrote and see what you guys think about it.

The first line is good, very dramatic. But take special notice of the last sentence. What does this suggest?
Please, please guys, I ’m a big, life long fan, just like you guys. Please go over to the Daily Norseman, read what I have written and how I attack them. Then, come back over here and sing my praises and welcome me into your group.

That sounds like a cry for help to me. I thinks it’s pretty clear who’s respect you wish to have, so as much as I respect the service that you have given our country, you don’t have to worry. I have no respect for you or your attention seeking behavior.

Done

This isn’t a dick-measuring contest and I’m not going to cheapen my war record by trotting it out for wet-behind-the-ears bigmouth to engage in an internet btch-session. That you seem to think that a picture of a terrorist is somehow worthy of respect tells me exactly what specimen of insect you are.

You don’t know me, Billy boy, and I don’t know you. I think it’s probably best that way because I don’t buy into the crap you’re selling. But that’s neither here nor there.

The real issue is the unmitigated gall with which you waltz in here and try to take one of our members-in-good-standing to task, when he’s done nothing to deserve it and done everything to have the right to be upset over how the last meeting between these two teams went, and to want HIS team to redress the issue. He’s earned it through being here and supporting HIS team through thick and thin, month after month, even when there was no news worth mentioning, he was here helping to support the fan community with his posts and ideas.

Your SBN account was created on 8/31/2010.
Your first post was here, on 9/02/2010.

I’m probably giving you too much credit to assume that you’re actually a newbie, in all likelihood you’re an old weasel who’s returned under a new nick because you already destroyed all your credibility in the old one.

I’m not saying that you don’t have the right to disagree. But you damn sure don’t have the right to call him a liar, and that’s what you did when you said “B.S.”. Especially when you’re in the wrong, and you are in the wrong. Go peddle your B.S. over at CSC where it might be better received, but don’t us to fall for it, and don’t expect to be able to silence people with your political correctness. Not here.

Done as well

I was going to say stuff back, but your right, I’m done with this pissing match too, you said what you wanted, I said my stuff back. Not its done. I wouldn’t have replied to ur last reply, but you questioned something I spent 2 years in Afghanistan fighting for, and I couldn’t let that past. AS for when I created my account and stuff, I have been coming to all the SB nation sites and reading articles because I love football and it is great to find out whats going on all over the place. Just like here, there have been great articles on the Vikings, but week after week I keep seeing all these post about cheating and cheap shots and i had to say my opinion. Yes you have the right to be pissed about how the game went last year, but you reverse everything about that game, and I am not mad cause Drew Brees has a bruised ankle, I am mad that the Saints had 5 turnovers, the OL couldn’t protect Brees, and Drew Brees threw a INT when he should have ran a few yds, slide and gave the kicker a shot to win the game. Maybe that’s because I used to play QB and I expect those types of hits. But whatever, I’m done, your done. end of story.

Awll the sweet smell of trash talk...

Hmm I wasn’t whining or anything but you know If Brett hadn’t come back, it would’ve been because of that ankle, in which the Saints Did to him. That was my concern the whole time, not “OH I hate the Saints they suck”.. Oh wait I do hate the Saints… well that was pointless eh? And for the respect thing.. You don’t have to respect the Vikings right now. But you’ll come around sooner or later.. !

idiots....

Brees and Sharper didn’t even acknowledge the fines the Saints D-men got after the game for the hit on Favre or the fact that the refs admitted they missed flagging that play. Morons.
