We lost a game. That doesn't mean it's time to panic. Yet, there have been a few warning signs. Some players like Sidney Rice are out. The offensive starters were lackluster in the preseason, and in the Saints game.

Should the Vikings make a personnel move? Here are some ideas.

Cut Tyrell Johnson. He isn't playing anymore. Add Colt Anderson. He can play safety and also special teams.

Trade a defensive lineman for a draft pick. Re-sign Rhys Lloyd. He will help the Vikings win the field position battle.

Slow down the defensive line rotation. In the Saints game, it seemed like a new lineman rotated in on every single defensive play. The defensive line play stunk. The starters should get more time in the game.

As much as I love EJ Henderson, he isn't as fast as he used to be. Rotate Jasper Brinkley in for part of the game at middle linebacker. Sorry. This has to be done.

Rotate Erin Henderson in as a linebacker, giving Ben Leber a rest every now and then. Erin is showing some real potential. Leber is aging and could use the rest.

Bring back the Wildcat. As somebody pointed out here on DN, the Vikings had a good yard-per-play with the Wildcat last year. If Harvin can do it, great.

Get Camarillo on the field as the 2nd or 3rd receiver. It depends on whether Harvin can play outside receiver, or if he needs to go back to the slot.

Stop running screen plays so much. They nearly always get blown up.

Based on the lack of news of Bryant McKinnie's injury, I guess he will be starting next week. If not, we should sign Tony Ugoh to the squad. Maybe we should do that anyway, just to get a backup left tackle on the team.

To sum it up, just tweak some things here and there.
