What do great teams do?

They endure the initial feeling from the game they just played. Win or Loss. They then sleep off those feelings. Wake up and then start focusing on their next opponent and also focusing on how they can improve on their weaknesses and continue to show their strengths. As a fan, i'll do the same, after the jump.

So we are 0-2. It feels crappy. The offense has moved the ball up and down the field. They've also decided to give it up to the other team up and down the field. Hey, its going to be expected from a risky quarterback in Favre. The great thing about losing early in the season is we are still only one and maybe 2 games out of a wild card spot. With 14 games still to go, I still like our chances.

The sweetest part is we still havn't played a division game. We get a chance to start the critical division games next week against the Detroit Lions. With how our offense is playing, we can't be reasonable right now in saying we will win all 6 of those games. In time I think if our offense comes around and starts finishing off drives we will accomplish that. We need to start this week in putting a 1-0 division record in the standings and get some momentum going into the bye week. It might not be an easy game next week, but a blow-out in a feel-good fashion will do this team a great deal of promise.

Defensively, can we please not allow an easy first drive from our opponents in which they make it look like its going to be a field day. We HAVE to start off stronger and start playing ahead. We will need to game-plan to keep Best bottled at all times. Focus solely on getting pressure on Hill so those deep balls aren't getting out on time. I don't see why our defense can't accomplish this. All I ask Frazier is to bring more then 4 way more often.

Offensively is a bit of a different approach. Favre needs to get back to the mentality that he doesn't need to force anything. We're running the ball great. Lets get back to quick routes and ease Favre into a groove. Camarillo is known for his route running. Lets utilize this. I'm not suggesting making him the #1 Reciever. Since Berrian appears to be the only other healthy reciever we will have to make by with using him in routes where the ball can be thrown with more of a touch. He can't handle the balls with a zip on them.

I wanted to say that I was excited for the Henderson brothers. I noticed Erin was playing on the starting squad and it must have been something special for them to have E.J. force a fumble and Erin to recover it. Atleast we set a milestone. I think its safe to say thats never happened in the NFL. The Williams Wall and The Henderson Head knockers.
