TJ Houshmandzadeh was cut by the Seahawks today, and the Vikings would be wise to make an attempt at signing him. Heres our Wide Receivers without Sidney Rice:
Percy Harvin (91 targets 60 receptions 790 yards 6 Tds)
Bernard Berrian (92 targets 55 receptions 618 yards 4 Tds)
Greg Camarillo (71 targets 50 receptions 552 yards 0 Tds)
Greg Lewis (11 targets 8 receptions 96 yards 1 Td,)
It looks like were going to be starting Berrian and Camarillo out wide with Harvin in the Slot.
Now heres the average statistics from Houshmandzadehs last 2 years with the Bengals. Im not counting his one year with the Seahawks because they had Matt Hasselbeck and Seneca Wallace at Qb. The Minnesota vikings have Brett Favre, and that can make quite a difference in receiving stats
TJ Houshmandzadeh 2007-2008 AVERAGES (151 targets 102 receptions 1020 yards 8 TDs)
Now picture us with Tj when Rice comes back Sidney Rice (Deep threat) and TJ (Excellent Possesion receiver) out wide Explosive Slot receiver in Percy Harvin. And Berrian and Camarillo round out a very deep receiving core capable of 5 WR sets and capable of competing in a shootout with the Green Bay Packers.
For all you Adrian Peterson fans out there, think of how much attention that passing attack could take off of AP, and how much stress it could take off our weak O Line
