Chilly says no way to Bringing on Housh.
Brad officially came out today and said the Vikings have no interest in TJ. The reason being is that it would take him too long to learn the West coast offence they run. It seems to me a trade needs to be made soon or we seriously risk exposure at WR and CB. With a serious need for another addition, do the Vikings bring back Walker or look elsewhere. There is also a dire need at CB. Any suggestions?

Money is thebig reason .
SEA’s GM was fired for such moves as paying him way to much to keep him out of Minnie . The GM is gone . And so is his contract . I see him back in SEA with a realistic deal and a humbling attitude this time . He said he went there to get paid . I guess he was a man of his word . He just couldn’t liveup to the high expectations on the field where it counts . He did have good #’s . 900+ yards and 79 catches .
doubtful
First, there’s no way they want him back.
Second, the Seahawks owe him $7 million in contract money this year. If Housh finds work for lesser compensation this season, or looks for work but doesn’t find any, the Seahawks pay anyway. Just like the Seahawks are paying Jim Mora Jr not to be there.
good
Thank you again, Brad Childress, for making the tough, right decisions that go against the grain.
Housh is best as a slot receiver. We already have Camarillo and Harvin.
Housh was shown the door in Seattle because he became a pain in the neck to deal with.
Good luck to him. Glad we are not signing him.
What makes Harvin a slot reciever?
He seems fast enough to be a wideout; is it because he is so short? I’m curious what is preventing him from being a wideout.
He was effective as a slot receiver last year. The Vikings intend to use him as an outside receiver this year, apparently. We will see what happens.
Ok.
I wasnt sure what attributes made a slot reciever as opposed to a wideout. I thought they were slower and shorter.
a slot reciever is big and strong
So he could go over the middle with sure hands like Rice.I thought Harvin was a wide out

housh likes to play the middle, that was his complaint in seattle...
they wanted him to go deep. we could totally use a guy that is big, sure handed, likes to / and can go over the middle…and is super cheap. i’m kinda surprised that they didn’t announce his signing.
in the future there will be no war...there will only be rollerball.
Big,strong,weak,slow,or quick
The question is can you go over the middle, create separation, take the hit, and HOLD ONTO the Ball.
If you can do that you are probably going to be put in the slot.

No, I don't think his size has anything to do with it
he is, basically, just an amazing slot reciever because of his speed and agility. But since Camarillo isn’t going to be our #2 any time soon, Harvin will definitely be moved to wide out. We’ll get to see how he does against CBs that are going to be taller than him.
The reason the question came to mind is because
I was trying to figure out what Camarillo and Harvin have in common that would make both of the them effective slot recievers and not wideouts.
Maybe
we could just sign that guy from Favre’s Wrangler commercial that makes a sweet one-handed grab in the backyard. Not sure if he is a slot or wideout though???
