Moss is feeling "unwanted"....

Hmmmmm

Star-divide

Well I would think that he would be more than wanted back home here in Minnesota..  Its probably just a pipe dream, but man that would be sweet to get Moss back in purple again. especially while purple moses is our QB.. Moss, Harvin,Berrian/camirrilo, that would be sick. almost down right illegal once rice came back, (if he is 100%). But who am I kidding I dont think the Pats would be willing to send a player of that caliber to a team who is already a contender, but we can all dream cant we...

Yeah..

I’ll admit when I saw that story my heart skipped a beat out. Not sure why, it probably doesn’t mean anything. I’d just love to see Moss back in purple.

But I know it’s unrealistic and not going to happen. We dream though, can’t we?

I kind of wonder

Would Moss want to stay in New England without seeing a Brady deal done first? And would Brady be more inclined to check out his options without a Moss deal done first? Almost seems like they might need to negotiate extensions for each simultaneously. I’m guessing Brady will be the priority, so I wouldn’t be surprised if nothing gets done on a Moss deal until after they’ve locked up their QB. I suppose a new team for Moss could happen… But I wouldn’t see him coming to MN unless it’s this year, while they still have Favre on the roster.

by rovibe on Sep 6, 2010 10:51 PM CDT reply actions

Supposedly, Brady is close to signing an extension so we’ll see how it effects Moss. You’d have to think Brady will fight hard for Moss to stay.

Brett left that green place because the FO wouldn't pay the 5th rd price . We aquired a 5 the other day . And I can see NE making such a deal . NE admitted that if the value was there nearly any of thier guys are trade bait .

NE could benefit by off setting the balance of the NFC with a trade to MIN . We do face them in week #8 . But I don’t see NE as more than a spoiler in the AFC race this year . Maybe a late trade to throw off our chances . Say in the Bye week . Just to piss of the Jets . Yet offer the added firepower to blow out the Pack again .

by gothicpurple on Sep 7, 2010 10:48 AM CDT up reply actions

I think your hinting at trading for Randy Moss right now? Honestly, I’m not sure what you’re saying aside from our FO not trading for Moss.

by packallday555 on Sep 7, 2010 12:39 PM CDT up reply actions

Not. going. to. happen.

First I don’t think Moss is as high on your team as you all think after you shipped him off to OAKLAND to die. Second, no one has implied anywhere that NE is willing to trade him or that he’d be available for a cheap price. Third, I think this is all posturing to get his deal done. He’s not getting younger so the sooner the deal is done, the more money ends up in his pocket.

by TrevorR on Sep 7, 2010 2:27 PM CDT up reply actions

the shipping...

was done by the lunatic from Texas…
we have new owners now who like to spend money.
that could get him over any ‘hurt feelings’ he may have.

I BELIEVE...

by ArizonaVikingsFan on Sep 7, 2010 3:15 PM CDT up reply actions

The ONLY reason this is even a topic...

Is because we know that Randy Moss has an idol named Brett Favre.

Randy has always been a fan of Brett, and has said multiple times that he wants to play with him, and vice versa. Favre was lobbying back in Green Bay for them to sign Moss, I am sure he is lobbying for a trade offer here in Minnesota as well.

We have to assume that SOMETHING is going to be done about the WR position, we can’t expect to go into NO with only 4 active WR’s.

555 , Did you get in on Dimes' discussions in the Trenches piece at APC ?

Why isit that all what seemed to be wild conspiracy theories at the time . Had me the visiter tossed of the APC site then . And now that one of your own has run with my information almost to the letter . You can now acknowledge the truth . Where I was said by your Editor Kev H. to be too intimidating to have posted the truth back then . What makes then and now that much different ? Your team didn’t take to my advice . They followed the exact path to destruction I laid out for them . And we will see what happens when Aaron goes to Philly . Will he learn to read a sophisticated Defense yet . Our Jackson couldn’t find the time to grasp them . CLE and SEA won’t help you know . Week one will be a big test . We will see what he can do . But …. We knock off NO . Then you know that Aaron will be chasing that ghost for 17 more weeks with no chance to succeed . Lose at home week #7 and your season will have ended prematurely for Aaron just like his last 5 did !

by gothicpurple on Sep 7, 2010 11:00 AM CDT up reply actions

No, not really. I really enjoyed the piece though, and agree with many of dishingoutdimes opinions.

You’d have to be more specific regarding the wild conspiracy theories.

Kev H isn’t our moderator, I think you mean Brandon. I don’t know why exactly he kicked you from the site. Probably because like here, you rarely comment on the actual topic at hand. It gets annoying, and can often times take away from the work and effort that particular writer put into writing his thread. (Especially when all you ever mentioned was Favre. Topics regarding him can often get out of hand quick.)

There you go with the “reading the sophisticated defenses again”. Again, I’d be curious as to whose defenses you consider sophisticated. Both Pittsburgh and Arizona would fall into that category for me, and he put up 30+ on each. He put up 27 I believe (off the top of my head) against the Ravens, who I’d consider “sophisticated”.

The big question regarding our team this season has nothing to do with Rodgers. He and the offense has already shown what it’s capable of in his last two seasons playing. The big question is how our defense has improved (if at all).

he just keeps throwing stuff up on the wall until it sticks and then he uses that one idea that actually was right to fuel his 15 that were wrong.

On a positive note young Pack fan . As you read this post in the next few days .

Please note what the transformation of losing a teams most dynamic player of his Era . Can become one one comes to grips with it . Moss didn’t leave us . He didn’t retire to save us the abuse of watching him face us or other teams as we questioned the FO decision . He plays for the winningest team in the last 10 years . Ring-wise ? And we embrace the thought of his return to us . We accept his accomplishments . And acknowledge the great season he will have this year with the Patriots . As a HOF guy he will undoubtably come back and represent the one team that overlooked his difficulties . And embraced his talent . We have evolved as a franchise and team in or maturity and respect for the game as Viking fans .
Pack boys on the other hand have a lot of humility to learn . Your FO and franchise steer you wrong when they ask you to hate him for not excepting a forced resignation . And they are embarassed that they couldn’t mold him into their corrupt selves by accepting their $ 25 Mil /bribe . When will you think for yourselves ? When will you realize that Brett loves Green Bay the team more than any of you can or will in your lifetimes . You watch . He played then watches . You will never walk in that Legions shoes . But you dare spit in his direction . And he repaid you with the thumping . Then . You still pick your butts and try to smear it on his accomplishments . And he will use this year to set so many records that Aaron’s future generations added together couldn’t catch him . Doubt me as you do . Rodgers would need to win 10 straight Superbowls and be in his 16th season just to keep up with Brett’s playoff success . All Aaron’s numbers will fall to the side . As he is in his 6th season and has yet to win a playoff game . You have no answer for that at DN . Your sister Kev did at APC . It’s called a ban . For respecting the guy that made you love that green bunch . And all you can do for one more year . Is to hear over and over again . Brett wins ! Brett wins !! Brett wins !!! …….The Superbowl !!!!

I didn’t even bother to read this comment of yours. I’m sure it’s filled with comments pointing to our organization failing or going down in flames because of getting rid of Favre. Honestly, I’ve probably read all of it before, and like before, my opinion hasn’t changed. Maybe we can just agree to disagree or something.

by packallday555 on Sep 7, 2010 12:50 PM CDT up reply actions

pssst…you threw Moss to the wolves. You sent him to the worst team in the league cause they were willing to give up the most. Wow what humility. You clearly cared so much for your players who “gave so much to the team” and helped you win so many games. sigh.

Pass that pipe over here.

I’ll take Randy back any day of the week. And if Joe “douchebag” Buck badmouth’s him again I’ll punch him out.

To bad the realaity of the game doesnt work like that

we can dream about the fantasy football scenario of moss coming back to Vikes. hell id love to have him back but I just don’t see that happening. Plus why would bill Belichick trade him , lets not forget moss is still pretty productive. Sorry to be a buzz-kill but its the truth.

The idea is not as far-fetched as you make it seem.

Let’s look at the facts:

Belicheck loves to trade players in decline for value, he also loves to pick up aging players at a discount.

The Patriots are in a bit of a rebuilding phase right now, at least on their defense. What side of the ball do we have a lot of depth at? Defense.

Randy Moss has already said time and again that he thinks Brett is the best QB ever, and would love to play with him.

Brett has lobbied a few times to try to get Moss on his team.

We are short at WR, and we haven’t signed anyone to fill that hole for a reason.

and now, 3 days before the start of the NFL season, Randy decides to start talking about how he feels “Unwanted” in New England. Why would he start talking to the media about it now, unless there was an ulterior motive?

Realistically, we do have the ammo in defensive depth and draft picks to offer up something that Belicheck would take in value. Whether or not the deal would even make it to the table is a completely different story.

I agree the chances are slim, but not impossible.

I was just kidding.

I’m 99% sure it will never happen but just the idea gets me all giddy.

by Codypc21 on Sep 7, 2010 8:04 PM CDT up reply actions

Let's get Brady and Moss both.

They’re both unsigned. Let’s trade for Moss, then sign Brady outright next season. Brady tossing to Moss, Harvin and Rice next year with AD pounding the rock and our SB victory shall be assured.

Randy Moss may be crazy

But he’s still a beast on the field. Fun to dream about him wearing purple and catching passes from Favre.

He does seem to be rehabilitated....

From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.

To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!
