Sullivan Expected to Start at Center
To quote Futurama's Dr. Farnsworth, GOOD NEWS EVERYONE! Sullivan has missed most of training camp with a calf injury, but it sounds like he'll start tonight against the Saints. The offensive line needs to perform well tonight, and having Sullivan in the lineup is a big step towards that goal. Under ten hours to go!!

I have to rec this
Just becasue it makes me that damn happy.
This is great news.
Here’s to a Viking crushing win and a statement to the knobs in the media.
Skol
Thank God
Our line has had me worried all preseason. Hopefully McKinnie does his part and they make APs job easy.

Me too!
The situation with the offensive line has had me so concerned that I might be developing an ulcer. Having Sullivan in goes a long way to soothe the ulcer and give me hope that Favre won’t spend the whole game staring at the Super Dome ceiling.

Stress less, hun.
Just think about how much we’re all going to laugh watching Payton cry through his painkiller-induced buzz later tonight.

California Golden Blogs! "Woeojuwejhdjwe!!!"... But what does it MEAN?!
You say the sweetest things :)

I just hope...
The line makes holes you can drive a bus through…
We need to pound the rock (and hold on to it)!
I BELIEVE...

Well, it’s not as though Sullivan’s Matt Birk in his prime, but if healthy he’s the best option, so let’s hope this helps.
Of course, this being the NFL and all, now that it’s become conventional wisdom that the Vikings need to pound between the tackles with AP, for all we know Favre will instead attempt 50 passes…
hell with all the injured saints
LBs, we may just need to pound it period.
No one is getting Rubio's rights unless they pry them from our cold dead fingers.

No, doubt it
remember last year? Favre was rusty as all hell for the first few games. He was in game-management mode rather than All-Star QB mode. This game, it’s all about Peterson. So we can expect several 8 man fronts. He needs to hold onto the ball and break through them to keep the clock moving so the Saints can’t take advantage of our DBs.
Favre also came in Week 3 of preseason
He has a year of Vikings offense under his belt. No excuses.
I'm still a Minnesotan at heart...
You got me a bit fired up for
Tonights game. I had to turn it off after about 10 seconds though.
Favre: It's rare to ever see a QB be so indecisive, waffle...
It's also unlikely to have one start 19 consecutive seasons.
But when Farnsworth says it he is sending everyone to an early grave
Or at the very least a mission that they will probably die performing.

Thats awesome.
I think our next best option would be to move Herrera to C, but then he needs to be replaced. Sully coming back is good and he should have a better second season starting, Loadholt too.

Childress said he will shoot for 6--70 snaps . He may rotate on certain series .
I hope we get an e arly lead to resr him a bit . The 10 day layover for Miami at home will be good timing . He could rest for the NYJ game ideally . After the Saints get stomped that is .
60-70 . These glitches are getting to me . Yesterday it was cutting off everything past the first line . Not allowing a second line of comments on the top post .

Good
to have the tallest hobbit in all ’the Shire back.
Hm.
You know the depth is hurting if having Sullivan back is a world of great news.
He’s not even all that amazing.
...
Starting center being healthy is news to celebrate in my mind..

he's still working on getting that center thing down.
in the future there will be no war...there will only be rollerball.
No kidding...
… I hear you there. But, he’s a lot closer than Herrera, I think.
Would be good to see Herrera moved to BACK UP center and right guard, and DeGeare come on and START at right guard.
I think that is coming this year. Before the year is over, whether there are injuries or not.
