Wes Bunting over at NFP wrote a nice article which included the weigh ins for both North and South rosters. If you would like to see the entire story, here it is.
Mocking Dan over at SB Nation's Mocking the Draft site did a simlar piece in which he mentions that our own Jared Allen played the 2010 season at 255 lbs! If you are interested in reading his piece, here it is.
After the jump, I have highlighted some interesting measurements of players that the Vikings just might be interested in come April.
Ricky Stanzi, QB Iowa. Height 6'4". Weight 221 lbs. Hand size 10 1/4 ."
Christian Ponder, QB Floida St. Height 6'2." Weight 222 lbs. Hand size 10 1/8."
These were the only 2 QB's to record a hand size over 10 inches out of all the QB's at this year's Senior Bowl. Most casual fans/scouts only pay attention to height and weight. But anyone that remembers Dante Culpepper's fumblitis knows the importance of hand size, especially playing in the NFC Norte come December.
Derek Sherrod, OT Mississippi St. Height 6'5 1/2." Weight 312 lbs. Arm length 35 1/2."
Gabe Carimi, OT Wisconsin. Height 6'7." Weight 315 lbs. Arm length 35 1/4."
Anthony Castonzo, OT Boston College. Height 6'7." Weight 305. Arm length 35 1/4."
Arm length has become the 40 yard dash for offensive tackles. If a prospect has anything shorter than 34" pipes, he likely will become a guard at the next level. These 3 all measured over 35 inches. What also stood out to me is how "light" they are for their heights. No 350 lbs. slobs in that bunch.
