Bernard Berrian Victim of Attempted Extortion

File this in the 'What the Hell' category:

Vikings WR Bernard Berrian left his Blackberry at an ATM in Vegas earlier this month, and it was picked up by a couple who was trying to extort money from Berrian before he could get it back. They wanted $30,000 or would sell his Blackberry to the highest bidder.

Berrian did indeed get his device returned to him on Jan 19th, so all's well that ends well.

But why was BB being extorted? Well, apparently, there were access codes to his homes, his social security number, pictures of his daughter, and, ahem, "other personal photographs and video of Berrian and third parties not intended for public distribution".

For the uneducated, if it walks like homemade porn, smells like homemade porn, and is described in legalese as homemade porn, boys and girls...it's homemade porn.

Uh, allegedly. Maybe BB needs to get with Mrs. Hank Baskett on how to maximize his, uh, exposure.

Though, how stupid for people to try a cheap ploy like that. But Berrian, seriously man, keep track of your stuff too.

New coach, new coaching staff, new starting QB. All we need now is a new stadium and all will be well in 2011.

Yeah. All I can say, as has already been said… “What the hell?”

Seriously, BB getting extorted, and Fisher leaving the Titans and potentially throwing a wrench in any plans being laid out to get VY (not a bad thing that it might not happen).

The offseason looks to continue the drama of the regular season. When will this all stop? Next we will hear, the roof on AP’s house will collapse.
