Bryant McKinnie says he is going to do something new to get back to his college playing weight of 335. He's hiring a personal trainer. Having a healthy, effective McKinnie in place at left tackle next year would mean the world to the Vikings, who will probably have a young quarterback taking many of the snaps.

Some guys like Ray Edwards and Tarvaris Jackson sound like they are preparing for new horizons. Others like Bernard Berrian want back in.
