Nnamdi Asomugha

Stay connected for news and updates

I just read something over at ESPN that Nnamdi Asomugha is going to become a free agent (after the whole CBA thing is straightened up).  We all know that the problems with the Vikings secondary is at Safety, but here's my idea. Try harder than anything to pick up Asomugha to shut down some of the great WRs in our division and pair him up with Cedric Griffin and Chris Cook when they're healthy. We then move Antoine Winfield over to Safety to extend his career. I personally think that Hussein Abdullah played very well at Safety this year, so pair him up with Winfield. This would make for a very solid secondary and take away the need of wasting a pick on a safety.  The obvious drawbacks to this plan are the price tag, the CBA, and the fact that there are 31 other teams who will be heavily gunning to Asomugha, but hey, the off-season is all about speculation.  Feel free to post what you think of this plan in the comments.
