EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP)—Minnesota Vikings cornerback Antoine Winfield(notes) is doubtful for the game Sunday against Green Bay, meaning he will likely miss his fourth straight game with a neck injury.
Winfield practiced on a limited basis all week. Coach Leslie Frazier says he has shown improvement, but not enough to be cleared to play yet. They will check him out Saturday as well, but all signs point to Winfield being out for the game.
The Vikings also list center John Sullivan(notes) and safety Jamarca Sanford(notes) as doubtful for the game. Both came out against Chicago last weekend with concussions and have yet to pass the necessary tests to be cleared to play.
Joe Berger(notes) (Ber-zher) is expected to start at center and Tyrell Johnson(notes) at safety.
Well this is certainly not good news; facing Aaron Rogers and the Pack without our best DB and Tyrell is starting at safety. That does not bode well for this team.
Hopefully Mistral Raymond gets called up for active duty. I know that I am not the only one that would like to see what the youngster can do.
Here's to a full recovery for Antoine Winfield!
