For once it seemed that the Vikings did not give up on the run game. Badly needed 3rd down conversions kept the game alive and back to the run we went. This is the sort of thing a lot of us have been looking for in the past couple of years. Do not give up on the run, keep going back to it until it works, ware down the D and good things will happen. Again this goes out the window if they do not convert on 3rd and long, but by George they did...a lot.
It should be noted that Steve Smith the bane of the Vikings, caused the penalty which cost them the game. The holding call reversed a 1st down play by CAM, which set up the missed FG. I would now like to thank Steve Smith for that play as we need every brake we can get.
