This may sound like sour grapes, and in reality, it is to an extent. But this has to be said----There is a different set of rules for the Packers.
The packers are a real good team, they have one of the best offenses I've seen in a long time(partly thanks to the rule changes over the past several years), but it appears to me that they are allowed to get away with murder week in and week out.
Take holding for example, they have been called for it a grand total of 5 times this year through 9 games. And here's the kicker, 3 of those penalties came in one game against Carolina. Erin has a fast release, I understand that this would help keep instances of holding down. But I don't believe that it accounts for such a low number. Is anyone really going say with a straight face that their o-line has played flawless for 6 games this season? People say you could call it on every play, if that were true, then how do they go game after game without getting penalized?
PI doesn't apply to this team either. I've seen Woodson get away with things that mortal men would go to jail. I Ever since he bitched two years ago about getting flagged during a game against the Lions or Bucs, he's been untouchable.Even the packer fan next to me last night admitted he gets away with a lot of bs. For those moroninc GB homers: have you ever seen a guy throw a punch and not get ejected? Oh wait you have, it happened in week one.
Last night the Viking were flagged, rightly so, a few times. However, GB was not for the exact same things-I'm looking at you Jordy Nelson. I've seen most of the Packer games this year, and they get this treatment 99% of the time. It's sickening.
Before some assclown wants to tell me I'm bitter etc etc, let me make one thing clear: I am in no way shape or form suggesting the Packers are only winning because of blind officiating. As I said, they are a good team and would have great record despite being called. As a team, you have to play through the bs and win the game(although sometimes its impossible). But not seeing them get flagged just adds insult to injury.
this site has some examples of what I've just ranted about.
