Bob Sansevere talks about our other "option" if the Vikings leave Minnesota

This annoyed me so very much. The man seemingly knows nothing about Vikings loyalties and rivalries. It's especially insulting coming at such a delicate time for the Minnesota Vikings. The die-hard fanbase isn't sure if they're going to have their team that they love after this season and he comes out and says this. I suggest you read it. I, for one, was outraged that he would suggest such a thing especially at a time like this. From my own personal standpoint, I probably would not follow the NFL anymore if the Vikings were to leave and he's suggesting that it's just as simple as switching sides to a hated rival. 

I know it's just an opinion piece, but it's a ridiculous thing to suggest to fans who are completely devoted to a particular team. In my eyes, this team isn't just a football team. It's part of Minnesota's culture and the reason I am such a fan is because I'm proud of the state that I live in and where I come from. To suggest that it's as simple as forgetting about the Vikings and becoming fans of a hated rival on the same level as I am of the Minnesota Vikings is insulting. I've grown up with this team and I don't really follow what any other team does in the NFL, I pretty much only follow the Vikings. Forgetting about a team that many people, including myself, have grown up with and have stuck by through the good times and the bad and then trying to have that same level of "fandom" for a team that we have been taught or have learned to hate, or at least dislike, is not an idea I would consider entertaining. The Vikings have shaped a piece of Minnesota's culture for many people and our rivalry with the Packers is a part of that. Him suggesting that is an insult to me as a proud resident of Minnesota, and an insult to me as a Vikings fan. 

Perhaps I'm blowing things out of proportion, but that is purely my opinion on the matter. They would not be a "good enough" option for me. The only team that is good enough for me are the MINNESOTA Vikings and I will accept nothing else. 

There are many reasons that people are fans of this team, not just for the reasons that I am a fan, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.
