It was probably the worst-officiated game I have ever watched. When the announcers (towards the end of the game) have to make note that "no flags are down" after every substantial play, you know its bad. The Raiders probably got the worst of it, though, as some of the "unsportsmanlike" penalties they got nailed for were pretty ticky-tack and just looked like solid hits, to me. Just jumpy refs, I guess.
Adrian Peterson got hurt. High ankle sprain; will likely not play against Atlanta leaving the door open for Toby Gerhart to make an impression. In another season from the depths, there will just be one less playmaker on the field for Ponder to utilize.
The Raiders capitalized on a bunch of stupid Vikings mistakes, and pounded the rock enough to keep us off-balance en route to a big lead.
Ponder looked good (again) in rallying the team to within "winning distance", but ultimately tried to do too much (though can you blame him with this squad?) and threw three picks that killed scoring drives.
