We would be so good if we did something outside of the first round

I'm looking at the huge gaping holes we have and most of them wouldn't be there if we did something out of the first round.
Lets start in the secondary.
Tyrell Johnson a second round pick. If he had just been something like  another 2nd round pick safety (ala Darren Sharper one of da hardest hitten safeties in da league! Put da team on your back) then we would be set at SS for a while. Jamarca Sanford and Husain Abdullah would be great fill in back ups.
Corners: Chris Cook is stayed out of trouble would probably have a great second year. Cedric Griffin without two blown out knee could be a pro-bowl corner. Antoine could the other safety or be a lower corner to help his health. Asher Allen could be another okay back-up. Also, looking back further Marcus McCaulley could've been a good back up. The Vikes could have a pretty good secondary if some bad things hadn't gotten in the way. Without the Allen trade we could've picked Aquib Talib a good corner.
Linebackers: Greenway is a mighty fine draft pick. Looking back, why did we pick Gerhart? I like the guy but we passed over Pat Angerer in which this is the draft right affter EJ Henderson broke his femur. Erin Henderson would be another great backup. We could now draft a OLB to be the long term starter.
DL: You know when we trade a whole lot of picks for Jared Allen, and it worked out for both sides.  If Erasmus James or Kenichi Udeze panned out we would never had to deal a bunch of picks. Ray Edwards put in a lot of good years and B-Rob is doing good. Kevin Williams is a beast and Letroy Guion and Christian Ballard would be good backups. When you look at our pretty decent LB's and DLineman we look better built for a 3-4. Greenway would be a good 3-4 LB Erin could be MLB and Pat would've been good there too. I think coach Singletary would like that better too. Ray Lewis and Patrick Willis are both his products in 3-4 schemes. Everson Griffin could be another great product of Singletary. And without Allen we would have more picks to fill other holes. We would have B-Rob and James/Udeze at ends and K-Williams and DT.  We look life we're built for a 3-4 defense.
Some more proof of that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLxg9M3KZY4
Offense:
QB: Ponder looks fine. End of Story.
RB: AP done. In the 2008 draft without the Allen trade we could've picked Jammal Charles. Done.
WR: If we hadn't picked Ryan Cook in 2006, we could've had the one and only Greeeeggggg Jennings. And if needed draft a Michael Floyd or Alshon Jeffreys in this draft. And if Johnson didn't work at safety then we could've picked Desean Jackson.
TE: Kyle Rudolph good pick long term.
OL: I think we could've got a lot more from McKinney I think Frazier shouldn't of cut him. Yes, he is slow and lazy, but better than Charlie Johnson who would be better off replacing Hutch. I think we got a diamond in the rough with John Sullivan as he is making huge strides this year. We need picks at Guards long term though. Loadholt is Pro-bowl RT if he could pass-block. DeMarcus Love could be a decent backup Fusco could be a backup DeGeare could be another backup.

All in all if we had picked some players instead of some outside of the first round then we would be like the Packers. Good startes and good backups that fit the scheme. Also, some injuries don't happen and we would be a long term playoff team. If you look at our team we have backups in the starter position. If some of these picks pan out than we have high calibar players in the positions that need to be in. We could be such a young good team if these simple things could've happened.
What do you guys think? SKOL!
