In Flurry of Roster Moves, Vikings Sign Safety Jarrad Page and 3 Others; 4 go to IR
Yikes. This has been quite the injury-filled week for the Vikings. According to Mike Florio of Profootballtalk.com, the Vikings have placed the following members of the team on injured reserve, ending their season:
LS Cullen Loeffler (via douchepickle.)
While Tyrell Johnson didn't have much of an impact this season (or ever, really) Jenkins, Abdullah, and Loeffler were all solid contributors to the football team. If anything, this forces the Vikings to start their youth movement now rather than later, as we'll likely see Stephen Burton (7th round draft pick of this year) and Mistral Raymond (6th round draft pick) get some serious playing time.
Because these moves opened up some roster spaces, the Vikings added 4 players (1 for each on IR):
S Jarrad Page (formerly of the Eagles and Chiefs, I'm actually a huge fan of this move)
S Andrew Sendejo (who???)
WR Stephen Burton
LS Matt Katula
With all likelihood, this week will showcase a lot of new starters for the Vikings. What are your takes on the moves, and who do you all think the Vikings should be starting this week?
Have at it!

Wow.
I saw this at the Vikingage and I thought it was fake.
Knew Johnson and Loeffler were going to IR but Jenkins and Abdullah? I thought they had way more minor injuries.
But, youth movement that’s good

Jenkins??
I’m Glad we didn’t re-sign Berrian to replace him, we have been bringing back old garbage lately (Sapp)
I'm going to defend Sapp.
He was cut week one, and then just thrown in the starting role in the middle of week 11 after being on his ass for 10 weeks. As for the youth movement, now we just need to start Fusco and Love.
Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, it's just that your's is stupid.

Jarrad Page is the worst tackler I’ve ever seen. And I’m not exaggerating either.

That one youtube video of a couple years ago doesn’t change what I saw over a half season. He’s awful.
He actually missed four tackles in one game this year.

Well they needed to add some bodies
Page is only 27. He had pretty decent years in 2007 & 2008 when he started all 16 games each year for the Chiefs. In 2008 he had 85 tackles, 12 passes defended, and 4 picks. Something went down in KC between him and Coach Haley.

Since then he went to the Patriots where they go through defensive backs like their some kind of lozenge. And then in Philly he had a short leash.
He is not too bad although I would have looked at Robert Johnson from the Titans practice squad.
Sendejo played for Rice.
Burton scouting report???
So I have heard some good things bout burton before we cut him last week now we got him back, does anyone know anything about this guy?
Gets a bad rap
Because he had a terrible training camp. Culminated by one play where he bated down a hail mary…as the intended WR. DERP!!!

Dont mind
The Page pickup. I’m not too sure on the other guys because I haven’t seen any of them but with Page he might be able to bring something to the table like…oh i dont know…decent downfield coverage, batting a ball down, or dare a say…an interception! How long has it been since we’ve had one of those?
Jared Allen has one...
The Vikes aren't in a remodeling or reconstruction they are in a burn the place down and start praying they don't mimic the Lions rebuilding process.
