Your Fantasy Football Sleeper Of The Week For Week 14
I gave you Toby Gerhart as a sleeper last week, and if you managed to grab and/or start him in your league, you were rewarded with 91 rushing yards and 42 receiving yards, a pretty decent afternoon for a non-premium running back at this point in the season. In most leagues, this is the last week of the regular season, and some leagues have already started their playoffs. So, what's out there to be had at this point?
Well, this week the Oakland Raiders travel to Green Bay to take on the Packers. While the Raiders have had their issues at the wide receiver position, the Green Bay pass defense has been pretty terrible as far as yards allowed this season, ranking second-to-last in the league. Yards are a big part of fantasy football, and they've been giving them up in bunches. So, one of Carson Palmer's favorite targets could potentially provide you a boost this week, and there's a 99% chance that he's available in your league.
Wide receiver Chaz Schilens, who had a touchdown reception when the Raiders came to the Metrodome a few weeks back, has seen his catches increase in each of the last two weeks, including six last week against the Miami Dolphins for 89 yards. With the Raiders' receiver issues, Schilens could see a lot of targets on Sunday afternoon. As I mentioned, he's only owned in 1% of all leagues, according to the folks at Yahoo! Fantasy Football.
He's a bit of a "deep sleeper," but in some leagues that's about all that's left. If you're in need of a wide receiver, roll with Chaz Schilens. You get to root for your fantasy team and root against Green Bay (like you weren't doing that already anyway).

thank valhala.
i handcuffed peterson with toby two weeks ago
I don’t care how tomorrow unfolds but how sweet it would be if the Raiders just suddenly played a game like they never before and completely wasted the packers. Maybe the spirit of Al Davis will show up and make the ball bounce in all the right directions for the raiders
I know the Raiders faltered hard last week and it they have been inconstant. I know the Packers are crazy good no denying that (cringing). But if the Raiders win tomorrow maybe just maybe I wont have to hear about Tebow for at least a week. And if the stars align just perfectly and the weather gets extremely cold this might turn into a hard pounding running game and the broncos loose to Chicago.Ah man I will rejoice and I think my Minnesotan brothers would too. Ok so I have a spare remote for my dvr hopefully I wont smash this one like like last week.
I wonder how many people will be at church tomorrow praying for a packer loss since its a 4pm Est. time game lol
OT: The Vikings Will Win Today
I am heading up to Minnesota today to do some ice-fishing, so I will not be able to watch or listen to the Vikings-Lions game today.
Twice this season, I have not been able to watch the Vikings: one game I could not watch was the Arizona game, and the other was the Carolina game. You do the math,

We'll miss you
But if the Vikings win today, we’ll miss you less. (-:
(Just kidding.)

Chaz Shilens!
I heard the Yahoo! guys hyping Chaz Shilens the other night on the fantasy freak show, but I’m not totally sold yet. If I had to pick a Raiders receiver, it would be in this order:
1. Darius Heyward-Bey
2. Louis Murphy (he’s the deep threat with Moore and Ford sidelined)
3. Chaz Shilens
It’s a good sleeper pick as GB allows a lot of fantasy points to receivers, and Carson Palmer will be throwing all day long. But, keep in mind, Woodson is back in the lineup, so that might limit things a bit.
I’ve got the following guys this week:
RB: Brandon Saine GB: James Starks is out this week, and Ryan Grant has looked S-L-O-W. Oakland is not that great at stopping the run. GB isn’t that great running the ball (and they don’t really need to with Rodgers), but I like Saine over Grant this week.
WR: Brad Smith BUF: He’s caught 11 balls for 149 yards and a TD the last 2 weeks in Buffalo. Scott Chandler is out, and David Nelson (the early season #2 guy to Steve Johnson) has regressed a bit. There’s really nobody else. Yes, he’s on the road against a good SD defense, but the Bills are in do or die mode as they are sliding out of the playoff picture.
Good luck everybody!

McGahee or Sproles?
I picked up Sproles as insurance for McGahee. McGahee will play, but Sproles could see more touches because Mark Ingram is out for the Saints. Decisions, decisions…

McGahee
McGahee will get more touches, and I always take a guy with more opportunity. Sproles should still get close to double digit touches with his reception totals, but he has a cap. Sproles is more of a PPR play. McGahee has a tough matchup, but with the Bears offense looking pathetic, it should give McGahee tons of opportunity. He slashed SD and MIN the past two weeks for 100+ yards, and those run defenses are nothing to sneeze at.
