I should have waited to write this, but when in the moment

Let’s take a quick look at who I feel deserve a chance to be back next year, since this list is much shorter than the cut list. I sat here and shook my head so much I might need a concussion test before returning to work. The duh list Peterson, Harvin, Sullivan, Greenway, Jared Allen, and Chris Kluwe Offense Devin Aromashodu- has looked decent and I feel could be a third receiver for us next year. Ryan D'Imperio- young, decent blocking and made a few plays on special teams. Toby Gerhart- a very good backup, can catch, and is a change of pace from Peterson. Christian Ponder- you are on my $#!+ list with the inconsistency and seriously 7 yards in the first half dude get rid of the ball. Kyle Rudolph- guy is hopefully our future passing threat, and has made some good catches. Joe Webb- you deserve a legitimate shot to start why were the Vikings in the game last week? Webb. Plus he is much more of a running threat than Ponder; it’s called running away from the guy on the other teams and not throwing it out of bounds when you are in the pocket. Defense Christian Ballard- has played fair and is a rookie Everson Griffen- this guy just might be our best all-around defensive player, linebacker, all over the D-line, gunner on punts I mean this guy needs to be out there every play. Erin Henderson- give him another year starting. Mistral Raymond- rookie so give him a chance, plus that article showing his determination and ability to stay out of trouble is a positive, Please become Chris Cooks best friend! Benny Sapp- wait are you allowed to hit the ball away from the receiver? I guess the rest of the DB’s didn’t get the memo, oh and you wrap your arms around the guy that has the ball. Hey he did pretty well today. Everyone else should be on notice if we can get a younger version of you or any sort of draft pick bye bye. Let me have it about my non-love of Ponder and some other guys, but dammit if we don’t just get the youngsters out there to see what we have I don’t know what else to do.

totally agree about everson griffen,

This dude needs a permenent starting spot, weather it be DE or as a LB… with his range and speed, I think he may be a great OLB, fast enough to play coverage, and strong enough to stuff the run… get him out there …

i think he could even play safety for us

I cannot believe how fast he gets down field as a gunner on punts.

I completely agree though, he NEEDS to be on the field, somewhere, all the time.

Mistral Raymond has been playing fairly well.

He’s the reason we won’t be seeing any Tyrell Johnson next year.

I don't Greenway is a "duh" anymore

He’s been far too inconsistent this year. He can fight for a spot next year like everyone else

We don't have anyone behind him who's any better

We probably won’t get a LB until round five either, so chances are, he’ll be back in purple next year.

If we can't laugh at ourselves, Packer fans will call us crybabies and we will be forced to kick their tooth in. I really don't want to go to jail (again).

He's made a TON of tackles though

but yes he’s inconsistent and have seen him take too many bad angles. But he is one of the least of our worries and think it would be dumb to get rid of him as he is our best LB by far right now.

what do you think

of everson griffen possibly playing mlb? if we wanted to retain ej for one more year, griffen could learn behind him, and also replace him in passing situations. he seems to have the skills to play about anywhere on the front 7.

I like it

but like I’ve said before, he could play anywhere in the front 7 plus he’s even fast enough to play safety and probably be the best safety on this team.

Problem with a tampa 2 style defense is that the MLB is asked to cover the middle of the field.

Which means he has to be part safety part line backer. The reason we’re being eaten up as it is is because EJ is hurt and doesn’t have the speed or shiftiness that he needs in the position anymore. I know Griffen is being put in to work on his coverage ability as an OLB I just don’t know if his coverage abilities are good enough for MLB in our defensive scheme yet.

The Vikes aren't in a remodeling or reconstruction they are in a burn the place down and start praying they don't mimic the Lions rebuilding process.

Agree

Totally on Everson Griffen, guys is a stud and seems to have a mean streak to him which we need on defense. Fast and can hit hard.

Greenway off the duh list. Guys has been a bum most the season, racking up those tackles 15 yards down the field because he can’t cover a dang thing.
