Hey Vikings Fans,
I'm a blogger over at the Cincy Jungle and I have the pleasure of picking for the Vikings in our 3 round mock draft. I have a pretty good idea of the needs your beloved Vikes are facing this year, but I thought it might be best to get your input on the subject. So I'll make this easy for you: Rank the top 5 positions of need that Minnesota should target in the draft, and I'll use it as a general guide to help me pick. Also, feel free to make suggestions for guys you want to target at those positions, particularly with your 1st round pick.
A word on my draft strategy: My preference will be to draft for the best player available at a position of need. I won't try to reach on a QB even if you all decide that QB is the #1 position of need. BUT, if there's a top flight prospect available at your 2nd or 3rd ranked position of need, I'll likely draft him even if he's not the highest ranked prospect available. For example if Mark Ingram miraculously fell to the Vikes in the second round, I'd probably pass on him for a guy like Stefen Wisniewski (C Penn State) who might fill a bigger need.
When we've finished with the draft, I'll post my picks back here, and then you all can feel free to tell me how terrible they were. :)
