Work Ethic according to Mr Tawhidul Webb

Stay connected for news and updates

I am a fan of Joe Webb.  I like his poise under pressure and I like his demeanor.  I like his confidence as well as his respectful humility.  In our conversations involving the QBotF, Webb has been largely ignored or determined as not being good enough.  His character traits listed above are a very good start to being a very good QB.  Being football smart and smart in general is a must, for sure and I think Webb certainly has football smarts.  Does he have the full set of smarts to know how to play the position at an elite level?  Don't know for sure yet.  The next very important piece for success is work ethic, which was the purpose of this post, obviously, hence the title.   After reading this article I believe he has enough to succeed.  A couple of quotes from the article that impressed me:

Webb said he's eager to improve his pocket presence after studying Ryan, Drew Brees and Peyton Manning and their "subtle movements while keeping their eyes downfield and keeping patience."

As well:

Webb hopes to get a playbook from Musgrave before the collective bargaining agreement expires March 4. "Hopefully, they can do that just to give us a head start if we can't go through OTAs (organized team activities), just to get mental reps, just being able to look over again," Webb said.

Agreed, these are only the beginnings of a possibly bright future, but I think he really is a diamond in the rough.  I hope I am correct.  Thoughts?
