12. Vikings: Ryan Kerrigan, DE, Purdue (Previous pick: Robert Quinn)
Cameron Jordan would make sense here as well for the Vikings, who need to revamp on the defensive line. But it's hard to dispute Kerrigan's motor and ability to get to the quarterback. He could be a difference-maker right away.
First I've seen Kerrigan go to the Vikes in a mock. This may seem like reaching for some people as I believe he was slotted to be taken a little later in the first round. That's the nature of the mocks though. I wouldn't mind having this guy on my beloved purple. I've been saying this for a couple of weeks now that I really like Kerrigan and I've seen him terrorize the Big10 for years. Excellent size/speed/quickness. The guy just flat out makes plays while he's been seeing double-teams for the last 2 years.
On another note, does anyone else think that we've gotten a lot of DEs in these mock drafts? Does the rest of the football world think that we really need a DE that bad? I don't think we do. What do you all think?
