Meant to post this earlier, when you know, there were actually stories about it awhile ago but, anyway, I have a few questions for the Viking fans actually living in MN about the new often talked about site for a proposed stadium since I'm really not that familiar with MN. I've only been there twice to see a game.
How far outside downtown Minneapolis is this site? I know people were saying that this site won't have some of the services that a downtown stadium would (light rail, etc.) but will the current infrastructure be able to support a stadium or will the interstate/highways need to be expanded? And I keep hearing that the current site is polluted, polluted with what and how exactly? Did the old army facility pollute the water supply or other underground utilities or is it strictly surface related?
I guess at this point any place that we could potentially get a stadium should get our full support. Hopefully this plan or something else will work out somehow and we can finally get into a new stadium.
