Interview with Nate Burleson

Daily Norseman,

I hope some of you here will remember me. I understand that all of you will not. To reintroduce myself, my name is Max Strauss. I'm a high school student in the eleventh grade and I work really hard interviewing players and showcasing their unique and positive perspective on the game itself.  I have gotten tremendous feedback here when I have shared other interviews with Minnesota Vikings' Brian Robison, Freddie Brown, Albert Young, Everett Lindsay, and C.J. Mosley.

I'm here today to share an interview with Nate Burleson. Nate was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2003 NFL Draft. He was their 3rd round pick, 71st overall in the entire draft. He played with the Vikings for the first three years of his career totaling 127 receptions, 1789 yards, and 12 touchdowns.

As always, I would really appreciate your comments and feedback on the interview. I tried to showcase his unique perspective on the athletes in his family for this particular interview.

To be totally honest...

I’m really interested on being on the side of the players.
I would really enjoy sports business or management, because then I can work for the players.
I’m all about the positive and unique perspective from the players,
rather than the media which explodes player stories in a negative light.

Fantastic Interview

I was expecting to see more media-type questions, such as “since your best year was with the Vikings, in hindsight do you wish you had stayed with the team or returned in time to play with Favre”. Instead, the questions were more personable and gave more of an insight to the person’s character than to his trophies.

You definitely have the gift Max. It will be interesting to see what you do with it. I look forward to more of your interviews in the future.

Wow! Thanks so much for saying that Lofoten!

I really appreciate the kind words! It means a lot to me that you would say that.
Again… Thanks so much!
