HIya guys & gals,

Things are a bit slow at the mo, so time for some pointless speculation and conjecture.

The off-season is a great time to be optimistic, after all, we haven't lost a match yet!

2011 could bring us a new stadium, an 'old-head' to mentor a new franchise QB, our defence could get it's bite back, sidney could stay, percy's migraines could dry up, our CB position could improve, the Williams wall could still be going strong and all our 'old' boys could have one last hurrah left in them.....this could be our year...

On the other hand, there may not even be a bloomin season, as things stand we don't have a QB, or a stadium, Sidney could go, our 'one-off' poor defense last year could actually have been a step change with players declining and we could get worse, Percy could medically retire, Jared could go bald and our rookie coach could find it all just too much for him.

So let's take the middle road shall we....just for this question anyway...

Let's just assume a couple of things first shall we;

A) we have a season

B) it starts on time

C) We get an experienced QB & draft one (poss 2nd round)

D) We have an 'average' draft

E) All our conference competitors have an 'average draft'

F) we have an 'average' free agency....ie we keep some & we lose some.

so.....we enter the new season with no massive increase or decrease in quality from last year....and let's assume that recent trends continue to a degree and there's a (slight?) improvement for the Lions and the Bears, whilst the Pack stay on a par with last year,my question is this...

If we were being truly objective and set aside our love for the Vikings. If we were able to give our conference competitors objective respect for the strengths/weaknesses of their team (and no...being a Packer is not inherently a weakness for this exercise!!!!).....what do you believe (and not hope) the final NFC North standings will be for this year?....are we really still one of the top 2, are we battling for 2/3rd or are we facing a 3/4th place struggle?
