Peter King of Sports Illustrated has released his first mock of the 2011 mock season. Peter King is widely recognized as the Cat's pajamas when it comes to NFL insiders. So when it comes to mock drafts and all things NFL, people tend to listen. I will provide the link to his mock draft here, but I will highlite who he has the Vikings drafting after the jump.
Disclaimer: His mock draft format is a good idea, and is something that I thought of doing a few weeks ago. He lists not only who each team in the first round "will pick," but also he includes who he thinks each team "should pick." And he includes an explanation with each pick. King also includes trades in his mock draft. However, the mock page itself only includes one or two picks per page so you have to keep loading new pages on your computer to go through the whole thing. COMMUNISTS! But no worries, as promised, who the Vikings will and should pick after the jump.
12 Vikings
WILL PICK
Jake Locker, QB, Washington
SHOULD PICK
Andy Dalton, QB, TCU
The broken record continues. Hey, I like Dalton. Re Locker: Other than his 54% completion rate over four seasons—which could consign him to the Kyle Boller Hall of Mediocrity five years from now—there's a lot to like about him. "He's as tough as any player, quarterback or otherwise, in this draft, and he is one great leader," says Jon Gruden, who analyzed Locker for his ESPN quarterback-prospect show. So, the Vikes roll the dice.

For those of you who read the entire mock, one thing should jump out at you, King really likes Dalton. In fact, not only does he mock draft him at #15, he has Dalton as high as #8 to Tennessee in his "should picks."
