Judge Nelson has denied the NFL's moving for a stay of her imposed injunction. If the stay had been granted, the lockout would have resumed until the appeals process was completed.
No one knows what happens next. Officially, the league year is supposed to begin, which includes Free Agency, off-season work outs, everything should start up. We could conceivably see free agency begin on draft day. This could get very interesting in the coming days. This also, hopefully, means that active players can be trading on draft day, which would be outstanding for the Vikings as it will facilitate any trades they wish to make.
It'll be interesting to see how things unfold from here. I'm personally glad about this because it puts the onus on the owners to get a deal done. I'm sure out esteemed writers here at the Daily Norseman will have have more information as this story progresses. Stay tuned.
