If you would like to get your hands on a piece of the old Metrodome roof, they're there for the taking, and for a pretty decent price, too.
For the entirely reasonable price of four American dollars, you can get a tour of the Metrodome. . .and the first 2,000 people that go on the tour will get a piece of the roof that collapsed back on December 12. While on the tour, you'll be taken to see the progress of the installation of the new roof, get a look at the suites in the stadium, and have the opportunity to see "the inner working beneath the concourses," which includes the locker rooms.
The tours take place on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and depart from Gate F at the Metrodome on those days at 11 AM.
All in all, this seems like a pretty fine deal to me. . .not sure how big the pieces of the roof are, but for $4, it would still be a pretty nice thing to have, I would think.
