I like it! Sure it would have been ideal if we could have traded down to get Ponder + an additional pick later on but we couldn't get the deal we wanted without risking losing out on our guy.... so we reached a little. So what? If he can develop into a QB that can take us back to the playoffs then who cares where we drafted him!?

I actually think he will develop into a darn good QB for us and now we can concentrate on surrounding him with talent in FA and future drafts.

BPA with the rest of our picks has worked out nicely and these guys should develop into starters for us.

But what I really wanted to say about our draft is that I was genuinely shocked at the reaction by some of fans at the selection of Ponder. Bottom line is that he is our guy and I will back him 100%, and I seriously hope you all join me!
