DN Readers Vote "Remember The Titans" As Greatest Football Movie Ever
We interrupt all of the talk about the 2011 NFL Draft to give you the final results of our Greatest Football Movie Ever tournament, and the final results weren't as close as some might have thought.
In the great three-way battle that finished the tournament, Remember the Titans took home the big crown, and it did so in a big way. After 499 votes were cast, Remember the Titans took home 61.5% of the vote, which means it garnered more votes than The Replacements and The Waterboy combined.
Remember the Titans received 307 of the 499 votes cast in the championship match-up. Second place went to The Waterboy, which received 109 votes, good for 21.8% of the vote. Bringing up the rear was The Replacements, which got 83 votes (16.6%).
I want to give a big thanks to everyone that took the time to vote in our tournament, and it might be something that we can revisit annually. I'm not sure if the format was the most optimal way to go about it, but that's something that can be explored next year as well.
But, thanks to you, the readers of this fine website, we can declare Remember the Titans as the Greatest Football Movie Ever.

If Waterboy had won,
I would have been deeply concerned about the sanity of the DN readership. Because it made the finals, I am only greatly concerned.
Your fantasy football expert since Jerry Rice's rookie year.
LOL!
Anyone who doesn’t like The Waterboy is the devil! (actually I think Brian’s Song should have won but I’m also a fan of “Ol Yeller” so…
It's a crock! Replacements should have won!
Where’s Leeleex and her conspiracy theories!?
It's a lot easier to love the Vikings when they win...
Good choice DN
That’s the only football movie I own.
