A Mathmatical thought that has widely gone unnoticed

I posted this as well in a comment on the main page, but i thought it deserved a post just to see if anyone had some more thoughts on the matter:

7500 construction jobs over 5 years. (this is a rough estimate, the construction would be over 4 if started this year finished in 2015 but i’m sure some ongoing stuff will go even after the stadium opens to help with that)

Average income for a construction worker is lowball estimate about $45,000
(http://www.indeed.com/salary/q-Construction-Worker-l-Minnesota.html)

Minnesota state income tax is 7%
http://www.tax-rates.org/Minnesota/income-tax

7500 jobs x $45,000 × 7% x 5 years =

$84,375,000 JUST IN INCOME TAXES TO MINNESOTA WORKERS

the state recoups almost a third of their contribution before the stadium even gets finished, and that doesn’t include any property tax, or any of the other measures that are earmarked for the state.

if this doesn’t get done, i have lost what little faith i had in politicians
