I ask because in all of my research it seems that the details of the surgery were not released as part of the family's wishes.  I have a grade III AC joint separation very similar to Christian's and am wondering who performed his surgery, what procedure they performed, etc.  I would like to heal as well as he did and from what I gather the surgery is not 100 certain to correct things with this type of severity but obviously his did the trick. 

FSUViking may know, I hope he chimes in.  Please direct me if you know anything more than I do.  It's appreciated!  I know there are at least a couple methods doctors use and I want to make sure this is worth it.  Thanks.
